Tindale Sisters.
Ordered the flower thread this morning, had some of the colors. Recently stitched a small red sampler with it and like the look, plus using the single strand.
I need a piece of 32 count and am not sure one of the designs will be the next start. I'll pull out the big girls that are kitted and started, see if my menomind (yes, it's back along with the flashes) can decide if I'm staying with the chosen linens. Carol (SBS) mentioned the 5/5 stitching plan and I may attempt that (working five projects, five days of the month each). I'll make sure two of them are small.
Question for you, I think I know the answer and don't like it. I adore the Kindred Spirit design from Blackbird that was a club piece back in 2017 and now in the Crowns and Shields book. That's the only one I would stitch and can't find it elsewhere. Is it not available as a single chart? Is it offered in another book?
Tootsie has not been trapped yet and the boys are after her once again. I thought it was over weeks ago but she is in constant chase and hiding in my ditch pipe again. They surround her house/shelter and I have to chase them away. One is a gorgeous apricot color and acts more tame than the sad faced (but mean feral) ginger tabby.

You always find the best charts.
Speaking of sisters, how is Carole doing? You haven't mentioned her in a while.
Happy May Day ;-)
I have always loved the Tinsdale Sisters charts...not sure why I haven't added it to my (already swollen) stash. NM...think I answered myself. I'll be looking forward to see the flower thread worked. I do not participate in any of the May stitching shenanigans - I have too many non-stitching pursuits to distract me from dedicating everyday to some kind of stitching. Or, could it be adult onset ADHD?? NM...another question I think I've answered. Can't help you out on the BBD chart....don't know the answer but suspect you're correct as usually that's how BBD does things. Poor Tootsie. Snowing here again....poor me. ~Robin~
There are some charts of BBD that are for sale without a book, but that are only small ones.
Poor Tootsie-- I hope these cats will leave her in peace and are going somewhere else.
When I would do de 5/5,there will be more unfinnished projects and I have already too many of them.
Hope all is going well with you and Carole.
Take care, Truus from Holland
Hi Marly, ALL of the designs in the new BBD Crowns and Shields book are ALL based on the ONE basic original historic sampler design that is the basis and main feature of this book. She has just taken different sections of that sampler and used them in different ways. Its basically all for one and one for all in this book. Hope that helps!
Hello Marly: I hope you find the pattern from Blackbird Designs.
I like the Tindale design; I am not sure I could do a 5/5 I am a one at a time stitcher.
I will be going to Needlework Guild retreat in August will keep my eyes open for the design, some of the guild members go to the Blackbird Designs class's stitch the design and put the pattern in the stash relocation table.
Catherine
I like the sisters. I also like flower thread - but it is difficult to find. I put my "bags" on the door pulls of my china cabinet, the wardrobe closet and on hanging hooks from the mantle.....love them.
Hope Carole is doing well.
