Picked up Sarah's start, very happy with the Prairie Grass linen that I questioned previously. See what a good nutroll will do for you? Clarity for decision making. Well, not really but it's a damn good excuse. Sorry for the wrinkles.
But I failed to remember the count is 40. Much slower and careful stitching, my errors (already) are caused by my usual ..... failure to read the chart correctly. All will stay.
I think this will be much less boring or tedious when stitching the pasture or lawn. Different threads create smaller sections, interesting and counting is easier. Sarah may be hard to put down, but I would like to try working on several projects and attempt the 5/5 plan. Monogamous I've always been.
I've had comments and seen posts from stitchers who will not stitch a particular reproduction because of the reference in the verse to religion or God. That was the creator's belief and back then, it was an important part of their lives. I personally don't feel that by reproducing their work it has to reflect my own. Others do. Unless the sampler is mostly verse, I rarely pay attention to the message once stitched and honestly, can't even read the tiny over one!! I haven't paid attention to Sarah's cartouche yet, have no idea how it reads.
It's not raining. Yet. Five days in a row, very chilly, all my fault since I put away the winter clothes.
Off to Staples to get a working copy of the lawn area, hoping to use a marker to help with placements.
Have a good day!!

There is a bright light coming from the sky and I am wondering what the he** it is. We needed rain, but I now cry uncle!!! This morning I planned to drop my vehicle at the mechanics for an oil change and walk home. It was to be my morning exercise...probably just over a mile. It was cold and raining so thankfully I could get a ride home. Normally I sit and wait but they weren't sure when they would get to it.
Is stitching a reference to God in a sampler not being woke? That's what this great Country of ours was founded on. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
Sarah is going to be amazing. I really don't note a difference between 36 count and 40...but, then again, I rarely stitch large intensive pieces like you do. Weather stinks here too but at least today it is not snowing (not sunny either, but hey) and the wind is not howling as loudly as it has for the past 5 or so days and nights. I can finally think...a little. I agree with Lauren - what the heck? Get over yourself people. ~Robin~
Marly, you seem to have your stitching mojo back! You have a great start on Sarah and I love the fabric you’ve started her on. It’d be a shame not to finish her. I can’t do the 5/5 thing. If I have more than one project going, it makes me crazy! I was happy to see the sun today in eastern WI. It’s supposed to warm up except where we are.....cooler by the lake. Uhgg! Enjoy the nut rolls. They look delicious! Cherie in WI
Hi Marly: You have chosen a beautiful Sampler to stitch, I am in favor of having God in my life and my stitching where it is called for on a design.
I am not a fan of cuss words on stitching, my own feeling is it takes away from the design, but hey that is just me.

Wonder if you gave her a few high denomination bills with In God We Trust on them, would she refuse them based upon her deep seated aversion to God??? Someone is too self-involved to move gaze from navel....
Beautiful choice in selecting your new stitch - ENJOY your time with Sarah
Sarah is beautiful Marly. I love all the creatures in the grass at the bottom. And...I agree with your take on verses in samplers.
Again a beautiful sampler you are stitching!
The verse in a sampler belongs to that sampler, or the text is very bad and is mean.
Take care and enjoy your stitching, Truus from Holland
