729.
The majority of the sampler uses 680 (border, lawn, motifs) but it was too dark. One up is 729, on the left, and is what I plan to use. The original is not faded/ghosted at all, so it looks to be a good substitute for the 676.
I love the floral wreaths and want them to show as well on my chosen linen. And now they will!
The pink is washed out on the original as is mine (353 in center), and I hope the 758 will show a little better. Anything else is too bright but I do have some lovely pastels in a few overdyed, will check those also. Later. After 6 steroid pills and 4 Advil, I still can barely walk. Why this IT band inflammation has suddenly become severe is a mystery.
Hubs is feeding Tootsie several times a day, I can't lift my leg or bend it for even one step to get outside.
Hope your weekend is good.
And the stitching world wants to know ....
where is Brenda and Laura?
Hope they are OK!!

I had to go look up IT band. Nope, not what my hip pain is. I hope the steroid & Advil kick in soon for you. Not being able to walk without pain is a pain in more ways than literally.
729 looks good, Marly! I hope the Advil and steroid stuff kicked in. Thinking of you!
Hope Tootsie is okay.
Sorry to hear you are in such pain and hope you will feel better very soon.
Beautiful pink colors for your sampler.
Take care, Truus from Holland
I didn't know what ITBS was either but now I do. Sounds awful. Hope you get some relief soon. Hubby must be taking good care of your plants too because they look beautiful. I'm not a Brenda/Laura floss tube watcher so I didn't know they were MIA. Your color choices, as always, are wonderful. ~Robin~
Yes, what happened to Brenda and Laura?
You probably already found this but Brenda and Laura posted the new video today. The one that I am waiting for is Needle and Flax, she shows a lot of older samplers that don't normally get viewed. I'm also hoping for a new First Ladies video. I started having strange joint pain last summer, it came on suddenly. I waited 4 months to get into a NP, did not get a diagnosis other than mild degenerative spinal arthritis. The pain comes and goes. I take Meloxicam for it. I also found a new NP that actually talks to me and I don't wait more than a few days for an appointment.
So sorry to hear about all of your health issues.....getting older is tough. Going through a few myself but I keep in tough with your blog. Love seeing your summer decorations along with the stitching currently in your lap.....take care and get better.
prayers always
Ann
So sorry to hear that you're in such pain. There's always something to keep us from really enjoying life.
Am having blood pressure problems even with meds.........headache also, the pain moves around my head.
Want to get out to clean up some debris, but the work makes my body hurt. Can't do what I used to be able to do and it's making me so frustrated. Where did the time go ? Two major surgeries in five months didn't help either.
Getting older is not for sissies.
Love you pink petunias. Nice of "hubs" to feed the kitty. Glad Missie is staying inside. Wish she wasn't such a "scratch" cat.
I hope your health will get better as summer proceeds. Prayers !
Best wishes,
Charlotte in Va.
beautiful colors! you always do have an eye for the perfect choice :)
keep moving, think positive and feel better!
I sure hope and wish you feel better Marly. It's been a long haul for you. The sampler is beautiful so far and those pinks are lovely.
Bless your heart in dealing with that pain...hope the meds helped. Hubs
is doing a grand job "filling in" for you outdoors. Those pinks are quite lovely and you always select just the right hue. Hope you can relax sufficiently to stitch away.
I love the way you can really "see" colors, Marly--a true talent! This will be so lovely when done... I do hope you get some relief--and soon, Marly. That pain sounds awful and what a time of year to be down for the count as I know you enjoy time in your beautiful yard. Hope you feel better soon ♥
