Three weeks on Meloxicam has really helped. First two, not much, but much improvement the last few days. Is that med that has me itching and breaking out, restless legs morning noon and night the true reason? Or is it time for swelling to resolve and mobility (with a limp) return since it has been so long? Who cares? Appointment is not this week, it's next week. Three weeks after an MRI with no calls regarding instructions (ice? heat? brace? rest?) or explanation, and four more waiting for an injection that should have been given at last appointment. So much better, I am no longer using the rollator, and can manage steps one at a time holding the railing. YAY! Now I can return to the dentist for my root canal on the tooth he unintentionally damaged and I will most likely lose (FRONT!!). Enough about that, and unless major treatment is required, you won't have to listen to my rant again.
Except this one...
The magnificent property of mature trees and grounds of our only golf course, owned by the same family since the start and highly rated, has been sold. All that beauty will be destroyed for a distribution center. Across the street is a new massive FedEx distribution center that destroyed an entire area also. It looks like a mall.
I saw a new floss tube by SamplerStyle and enjoyed it very much. I prefer those featuring more samplers and I only viewed the last one so will go back to watch previous. This is a snap from #21 and I was stunned. Stitched on Murky, with I believe the called for colors. I would think some will love it, some will hate it, no in between. For something different and striking, I'm considering a small sampler on my little piece of the Murk.

Oh Marly, I am glad to hear that your knee/leg is feeling better. Thinking of you as I play catch up on my blog reading.
Hurrah that you're feeling a bit better! I am still flabbergasted over the whole thing. Knowing what that injection did for me, you could have seen results in days rather than weeks. The sampler you showed from the flosstube reminds me of some of the Spanish/Portuguese and even some of the Latin American coloring. Not necessarily my cuppa but I do love Murky. I've only ever stitched a couple things on it, but have loved how they turned out and I'm seeing more and more instances where the stitcher is using it on unexpected pieces - I've loved the results! Hope you survive the birthday party unscathed and come home with some left over cake. Yum! ~Robin~
So good to hear you aare doing better Marly!! Here's hoping the improvements continue. Never heard of or seen that Murky before. And that sampler is mighty colorful! Reminds me of Berlin Work (I think that's the term I'm thinking of - too lazy to look it up right now).
Well, this is a nice surprise to read today, Marly! I'm so glad you are getting some relief and are able to walk a bit more easily. Still no excuse for the poor response and actions on the doctor's part. That is really sad to read about the golf course being torn apart--I would be truly sad, too. Nice to read that you are baking--have fun at the party and avoid that giant dog. Yikes!
So happy to hear your drugs are helping. You have just been through too much!
I'm glad your knee is feeling better, and hope your tooth hangs in there after the root canal. Stinks when it costs too much to level old already developed areas so they go after open undeveloped wild spaces. Not that a golf course is exactly a natural area, but better than pavement!
That sampler is very pretty, love the colors and the big bold designs. It's definitely not the usual faded pastel or darker colors usually seen. I hope the day at Carole's goes well and no mishaps with the dog.
I am so glad you are doing better Marly. Just please avoid the Great Dane!!
So glad that meloxicam did help you with the pain.
I could not take them because of the side effects. Take care and don't walk too much for now!
Fox and Rabbit is a great company and has every year a free sampler SAL. I made one of them years ago -- still somewhere in one of the boxes after moving house.
Lots of love, Truus from Holland
