I saw short Maud in the pile for final finishing, and decided to remove the very light pink letters and stitch with a darker shade. Also changed her name to dmc 902, and plan on attaching matching poms trim around four sides.
The light green is ghosted but will probably stay. She's such a small sampler, I should have stitched the entire piece. Maybe again with my color choices.
Three rows are complete on the BBD design, hope to finish soon. The plan is for a small drum.
Here's what I did with a very large zucchini that everyone loved....
Cut into about 1/2" thick slices, lightly salt and let them sit for thirty minutes to an hour on toweling. Quick rinse to remove extra salt and leaking. On sprayed foil in single layer, bake at 400 for around 20 minutes or until softened. Remove from oven and top each with scoop of Ragu Simply sauce, Italian blend shredded cheese or mozzarella, several pepperoni slices. Return to hot oven for another 8 to 10 minutes. Zucchini pizza rounds. Really good.
August 30 is the season premier of Expedition Bigfoot with Mireya Mayor on Discovery. And the end of summer.
Stay safe everyone.

Marly, your zucchini pizza’s sound delicious! On the calendar, summer doesn’t end until Sept. 21st. We’re expecting 80’s and 90’s the first half of Sept. I plan on savoring every day! Cherie in WI
Maud looks fabulous, Marly. Your zucchini dish sounds very tasty.
Maud looks good! I sort of like the light green, it adds interest.
The zucchini pizzas sound good.
Lovely finish, Marly! As always your changes are top-notch! The zucchini dish sounds great--will definitely give it a try for my vegetarian son (minus the pepperoni :). I'm mourning the loss of summer just like you--over way too fast this year!
I have to laugh every time I see Maud's name. Pizza sounds delish. I'll have to give it a whirl as I am always looking for gluten-free recipe ideas. Yay for Expedition Bigfoot...thanks for mentioning it. I would have missed it. Mid-90's here this weekend. Yikes. ~Robin~
Such a sweet little sampler. She will look perfect with the pom pom trim all around.
Your recipe sounds great - must give that one a go.
I have not heard of Expedition Bigfoot. I’ll check to see if we can get it here.

Hello Marly: This is a lovely design, the pom poms are adorable.
Thank-you for the recipe, sounds yummy with sauce.

The zucchini pizzas sound great...but Fletch doesn't like Zucchini. Don't ask me...he loves yellow summer squash. What's the difference other than color? Maud is great and I like the "ghost" green.
