Major decision made after a week of anxiety. Signed the papers to cancel my medigap supplement. Second thoughts? Of course, but it is done, no option to ever go back.
I actually have two WIPs now. Highly unusual for me, but I set aside the samplers for Joyeux Noel. The leaf on the lower left is one strand on this 32 count, I changed to two (using 3362). After trying the lighter green for the leaves in the second outline, all was removed and I've decided to continue with 3362. With all that settled, I can move on.
The finished pillow will set on this chair, perfect spot. (The top beige on window trim and white on wall are the finalists.)
What the heck is this you ask? (My fingers are not this white!)
My hub's creation to solve Carole's problem. She needs a small pouch on her chair to hold remote, phone, paper, pen. It is so wide, there is not one inch to spare through doorways so the pouch needs to secure on the inside of the arm. No matter what we tried, it would slide beneath and end up in the way. He bent this metal the width of the arm, painted it, drilled holes for brass bolts to hold it from tilting. Those bolts will be inserted through the wood cleat inside the pouch, out through grommets on its back, into the metal frame, ending directly beneath the arm's underside. Trying it out this weekend.
Tomorrow I am getting more vein injections and need to see the cardio NP. My BP is and has been perfect in every appointment, but after checking when the palps were bad, found over 175/90 each time. Contining for days. WTH?
I saw Kathy Barrick's tree on IG and oh my. Just gorgeous!
Info request - the Santas in the header are OOP Birds of a feather cards for each color.
Hope everyone is doing well. Be safe.

Bless your genius Hubby and you for Carole's care. Please attend to the BP concern...
evenly pace and take care of yourself, especially during the hectic time.... Looking
forward to the progress of your latest piece....
Hubby is so clever!
How clever of Mark to solve the pouch problem for Carole.
Hope the injections are going well and take care.
It's a lovely Christmas project you are stitching.
Hope your day is going well,Truus from Holland
Mark did a great job on the pouch for Carole! Best decision I ever did was quit medical insurance through work and go on Medicare Advantage. BEST decision.
I really love the simple beauty of that Joyeux Noel design, Marly, and your finished pillow will look perfect on that chair. Good for Mark for designing such a clever solution to hold Carole's needs. I hope it is a perfect fit! Love your BOAF Santas! I have the charts, just haven't stitched them. I need to--some days I feel like I'm running out of time...
As always I am amazed at your sense of color and dimension as well as your productivity. I seem to spend more time planning than stitching! Glad you have made your health insurance decision. One thing I know for sure, they each have their positive and negative issues. Hopefully, you will be content with your decision.
As always, you and Mark spend much time and treasure helping your family. Be well, watch out for that BP. Are you taking it on the same arm, at the same time of day? Try to do that to develop a profile. Often I suggest applying the device, sitting a bit with the arm at rest, and then taking the measurement. It is surprising how much an arm, not at rest but perhaps dangling off a table, will give a higher reading. Best wishes.
