First, the recipient of my final pear giveaway has returned it to me after ten years. TEN years!! That's how long ago, eleven actually, that I started the pear series. Wow. Anyway, blown away when I opened the package, took me a while to realize it was my actual finish and not one that she stitched for me. My favorite, very meaningful remembrance of the swans and my two pups.
You know that doctor visit I had today, to discuss how bad my short term memory is and the problem with finding words? ........
I forgot. She asked how I was and I replied about the BP being too high and my knee is still requiring treatment. She asked "is that it?". I said "yep". I forgot to ask about my forgetting!!

What a lovely treasure you received back, Marly!
Oh no! I wonder if there's now a note in your file about forgetting to ask about forgetting at the appointment. I can see a bit of humor in it though.
What a sweet pear, how nice to have it back again.
Sounds like something I'd do, Marly! Maybe next time? I am writing down more and more these days!
Love that pear and it's so nice that you have it back since it was a favorite. Wishing you, Mark, Carole, and crew a wonderful Christmas! ♥
I think that was just fantastic that your follower sent you back your own pear. Love it!
I am forgetting more and more daily Marly. And words too. It is upsetting to me. I am the worst with memory in my stitch group and I am the youngest. I have been on Topomax to control the daily migraines since that permanent nerve damage years ago with the cortisone injection in my neck that the doctor screwed up. The Topomax causes memory issues. The longer you are on it and the older you are, you can actually get dementia I read. I am talking to my neurologist at my next appt. We have to find something else!!!! And I do not think there is anything else. I have tried everything else, remember all those things I tried?
I am also forgetting more and more. It's scary to look in the mirror and not recognize the face staring back....LOL Looked at my high school year book and can not believe how much I've changed.
Love the pear, esp. the stitched leaf....today I wouls probably tea dye it - going more primitive as I age.
Meyy Christmas and prayers for a healthy and happy new year
Felicidades por la hermosa Pera.
Me too forget a lot of words, things etcetera.
Had an appointment a few days ago with my doctor and also forgot a question to ask about. So I phoned to her and got an assistent at the phone-- she totdat me that my doctor would phone me the other day....I forgot again that she would phone me. But it's all to my sarcoïdose so I have to deal with this illnes.
Happy for you that you got your pear back again! All the pears you have designed are very pretty and I stitched some of them. Remember I did send you a picture with the Christmas pear with a little bell and a felt leave. 😊
Take care, Truus from Holland
I know I had something clever and witty to say but totally forgot what it was. Seriously...at least about the forgetting part. What a sweet giveback to receive the beautifully special pear back again. ~Robin~
First, before I forget, Merry Christmas. This comes from a blogger of 15 years who forgot to put a "pause" on my blog and ended up deleting the whole thing, yep, my access is gone, can't get it back, and again, I forgot to retrieve the link to the dashboard and deleted it too. 15 years of quilts and needlework gone in a blink. My dear, you are not alone, we of a certain age mostly have issues. It is, in part, a normal path of aging. There are ways to help oneself but that is a topic for another day. Too heady for Christmas weekend.
You know your pears have been my inspiration for many projects and I am thrilled that you have one of your originals back home. What a grand gesture!
All that said, be well, and make notes when you have a doctor's appointment, it is common to have so many things to say, get diverted, and then forget. Toodles.
