Not yet

I don't follow the rules when stitching.
And thankfully did not when taking these meds.  Never a good idea to change dosage on your own, but I have grown tired of medical professionals not listening.
I AM DRUG SENSITIVE.  Read my chart.  Do you honestly believe I would get a colonoscopy without sedation just for fun, or is it possible they don't want the crash cart wheeled in again?

Thank God I followed my gut.  My heart rate has finally reached 55 today, diastolic has also risen to 60.  Lots of water, salt, and assisted walking helped to raise those numbers, but not yet stabilized.  Horrible feeling.  If I had taken the full dose, what would have happened?

No stitching yet.  Fabric for finishing has been looked through this week, with little success.  After losing both local quilt shops, my choices are limited to HL and JoAnn.  This little drum's faded red is a stinker, nothing in my stash is similar.  The red in prints were too orange, too strong, too pink, too blue.  Black wool was my only option.  Why not the same linen?   I have time to decide.

Hope you have an enjoyable weekend.
Be well, stay safe.

I actually think a black wool would look incredible for the drum. It makes me wonder about those in the medical field at times. Glad you followed your gut, Marly! Thinking of you.

So happy you followed your instincts.
You know, the call it a medical PRACTICE!!!

Good for you, Marly! We all need to be as aware and on top of our medical histories and tolerances/intolerances as you are. Glad you're getting back to normal. And I think the black would look great on the drum. You take care now ♥

I think using the same linen for the top would be a good idea, maybe stitch a little motif on it, or your initial. Glad you are feeling better.

Marly I have the same problem as you have with meds. So when I had that colonscopy she would not listen when I got a lot of pain and troubles....it was awful.
As Sandra says, with the same linen on your pindrum with your initial or motif would be very nice.
Take care and hope you are feeling much better today.
Happy Sunday,Truus from Holland

So frustrating when doctors won't listen. Glad you followed your instincts and are on the mend. Take care.

I'm glad you got your heart rate and BP closer to normal, stinks that the those prescribing your medications don't take your history into account. But it's good that you do, and have the knowledge to do proper research yourself. So many would take and continue the prescribed dosage just because "the doctor said to". I'm not sure I'd think to cut the dosage on my own.

I'd think either the black or the same linen would work to finish the drum. I wish on-screen colors could be trusted. If they were, I'd check my fabric stash for options.

thankful that heart rate has leveled some! ~
it's crazy how the medical field tries to give everyone the same dosage...i mean a 250 lb man gets the same dosage for a 130 lb woman? {that noise you hear is me shaking my head}...*sigh*
your drum is beautiful with the red linen on top, how about adding a bit of that black wool as an applique on it??

I'm so glad you figured out the issue and were able to self-regulate a bit. Gone are the days (if there ever really were such days) where we could just blindly listen (like that oxymoron?) to what those who are paid well to know better than us say. And that extends well beyond the medical field unfortunately. Your drum is sooo sweet. I like the idea of finishing with the same linen and either something small stitched in black or black wool appliqué as Lori suggested. ~Robin~
