Vonna and Faye always tempt with photos of their work. Many times, designs were never seen, and in some cases, designers not heard of! Such is the case with Needles and Fred and their chart titled Three stockings. Oh my. So I searched and searched, with no satisfaction, and will try to stitch from the photo. Shouldn't be too difficult (sure). Separately on perforated paper, sweet! Or on fabric sewn into stocking shape or square, just darling. Or as charted, divine.
Watching flosstubers reveal their hauls, WIPs, and stash, there are so many designers that I am unaware of. Maybe that's a good thing.
Nutroll day!! Finally. Unfortunately, the 1/24/24 dated cake yeast had black spots. Hubs is roaming the stores now looking for another, probably end up with dry. Searched and searched online, found five different reputable sites claiming entirely different measures for subbing the dry for cake. Flour and all else is bowled and ready so .... let's rise! Bolbalki this weekend hopefully. I found a new pastry cloth and will try it for kneading the sweet doughs. My MIL was an excellent baker and would not knead/roll without it.
If you are interested in the hemstitch finish, search for how to videos online, better than diagrams. Jeanny Cobben is not blogging now but you can still visit her remarkable works HERE. She shares many photos of edge finishing, visit her September 2020 post. If I wore a skirt, it would fly up.
Hope your day goes swell.

I saw that stocking finish by Vonna too and thought the same thing about never hearing about the designer. And it's one reason I do not watch the flosstubes....it is far too enabling and I have enough stash projects to last me way more than my 9 lives (or how many ever I have left at this point.) ~Robin~ (Send me some nutroll please....LOL)
A site came up called Sandra's Stitch Stash when I did a Google search of A Needle and Fred. It actually came up twice and the second listing showed the stockings chart! Hope this helps. I don't know how to do the link thing.
Oh dear. I had not heard of Bolbalki before, so I googled. Looks fabulous (and dangerous for someone like me). I have never heard of A Needle and Fred either. So many designers, so many patterns, so little time....
Did you go to pinDIY.com? Three stockings is listed under a needle and fred....
I searched for the stocking pattern too, without success. Even the suggestions in your comments didn’t help me locate the pattern, but fortunately I have several others waiting to be stitched.
A Needle and Fred were around back in 2004 or so for a couple years, Marly. Hope you have a peaceful weekend.
WhiteRavenPatterns on Etsy has some maybe that will help
A Needle and Fred is an Etsy shop. I went there and they sell many, many patterns….I did not look at all of them, but I bet if you emailed them about the stocking pattern, they could help you. They also had fabric, needles, many other things. It looks like a great shop.
I've stitched from photos many, many times-- it's not hard at all. I go to the library and for 5 cents a page print good clear color copies because I dislike stitching from a screen. More than half the time I pick my own colors anyway so a color key isn't necessary. Looks like a pretty stitch, give it a try!
