Hi folks. If you have been affected by the recent storms, I hope you have a safe place to recover and resources are readily available.
I have an appointment Monday with ortho and requested doctor, not the multiple PAs. My assumption regarding those injections (that help others tremendously) was correct, I wasted $400. I do not need a new joint, the pain is not IN the joint, but no one listened. I was told the three visits were not an "appointment", just an injection, so I could not ask/talk about issues. And weeks later, received three bills for full office exams. Maybe now they will agree to a second mri, another $250, and actually read it.
But I got a bargain at HL! Another piece of 46 count ( the pinkish one is still there), and as I hobbled to the register spotted this in the 40% off candle aisle. Love it! Perfect deep bowl for a padded stitched pincushion, turn it over to use as a drum stand. The fluted tin stand can also be used either side and will be painted at some point.
It was nice to find what I've seen used in many finishes and recommended with some designs.
I started Lily over because the colors I chose were too dark, changed the look entirely. So 3023 is now the sub for 928, and looks great with the 902 (on 46 Zweigart Oat linen from HL). Other consideration was 372, another great option.
It's raining. Again. Our garden area is a mud hole, more rain coming. When can we plant?
Hope you're doing well!

That really stinks about your injections...and the billing. I hope you get some answers on Monday. I do love your restart - the colors are soothing and simple, like the design. I have a couple candle holder things...one I bought, one was a gift but have never really found anything to stitch for them. My creative juices just don't flow as freely as they do in others. We had rain yesterday and I think there's a chance of a few sprinkles later this afternoon, but so far gorgeous. I should be outside...doing something....but had my first snake encounter the day before yesterday and am not anxious for another. ~Robin~
Ugh on the injection issues. Hopefully Monday they will actually listen to you.
You come up with the best darn ideas.
Great idea for the candle holders and Lily is very pretty, although I liked the former colors.
Hope you got some answers on the bills and injection and fingers crossed they will listen to you about where you feel the pain.
Have a great weekend, Truus from Holland
I like the colors on your Oat linen, Marly. What great finds at Hobby Lobby! Both the shots and the billing stinks. We woke up to rain here this morning along with fog. Should be a fun drive over the mountain. NOT!
I had no idea that Hobby Lobby carried linen...now I will need to go!! So sorry about your medical issues. We need a new system for sure. I need to find out if my advantage insurance covers hearing aids. WHAT???
I have had that 46ct linen sitting in my drawer for months waiting for me to experiment with dying. I wish they carried more colors in the 46ct!
Your HL finds are great, Marly, and I know you'll come up with a great finish for each. I didn't realize HL carried high ct. linen like that--will definitely check it out. I'm so sorry about all the medical mess-ups. I just don't think there enough professionals these days and things are really falling apart. Hang in there--hopefully, this next MRI will give everyone a clear picture of what you need ♥
