Even though my project bags are tempting me, I am anxious to do the Heartstring Samplery book that I just received. One piece in particular.
The second, started yesterday, is another from The Wishing Thorn titled Lily Sweeting.
On 46 count again, dmc, and the charted 928 was switched to a gray. In keeping with my flubs, I picked up the wrong floss bag of the two colors I had pulled. Damn. Rather than continue throughout (there are only three colors) I stitched the second row with the bag left behind. And then added another, no longer a three color piece.
I need to get back to painting, the kitchen cabinets, all trim and doors in this room, windows, walls and ceiling which hubs will do. Good thing I have a small kitchen. I so wish we could hire, but we need a new roof and the cost is much higher than expected.
Hope your week, already the middle of May, will be peaceful.

That is a sweet little sampler for sure! Love the colors.
Your sampler start is looking good, Marly.
Nothing wrong with being stuck on small. Better than plain old stuck like I seem to be regarding needlework right now. No not "stuck on needlework", just stuck - as in no progress at all. So stuck the wheels aren't even spinning.
I love that you are on a small kick, Marly :) This is such a sweet little piece, too! And yes, all quotes are coming in so high for any construction/repair type work these days. Our quoted price for a concrete driveway was $40,000! Um, no... I will live with my old crumbly asphalt one, thank you. Good luck with your painting!
I've been stuck on smalls mostly these past 30-ish years?? Another sweet design. I see Wishing Thorn had a nice mother's day sale going on. Ran out of tim to browse properly but probably just as well. Yeah...the cost of things this days is crazy...not a good time to be remodeling the lake house, but what's a girl to do? Floor went in in the main level. I hate it. :-( ~Robin~
Lily is a sweet little sampler and I think that I like your colors more than these three from the chart.
Take care Marly,Truus from Holland
