Do you often purchase items after watching a flosstube?
Many are projects I'm not willing to stitch, too involved or large for my consideration. But I enjoy seeing them very much, like Comfort Stitching's stunning Bridget Power. Last night, I watched Sully Stitches. Even though I rarely engage in Halloween stitchery, she got me. So I rushed to search for the charts, all Halloween smalls, and I found two of them. The fabric she showed for finishing was perfect for the backs, and I found it also along with a gingham I think will do well. Old favorites, here they are....
Boo to You, Prairie Schooler
Pumpkin Patch, Prairie Schooler
Tara stitched and framed the small foursome, I plan to stitch four ornaments.
And this adorable guy...
Jolly Jack by Woolly Ewe
The fabric I ordered for the backs are these two, stars from Halloween Whimsy line and the gingham from Bad to the Bone.
I have the cool guy from Ghosts and Goblins stitched, I think these will be enough.
The party today. Oh.my.goodness. There were over a hundred cars, nowhere to park, a long walk to a lovely park. Swings of all sorts, kids recreation, three shelters, and the best Mariachi band I ever heard. Not that blaring head vibrating sound that so many bands think is good. It's not. They were perfect. People able to speak without screaming, yet the music surrounded us. We had no idea it would be this large! And everyone received a t-shirt with his logo and company name. I was going to do a brief video of the festivities but several Amish were there (no frontal photos permitted).
Thanks for the product suggestions, tried all of them. They found a home for one enormous neutered and lovable male, one mother and newborns were accepted by an agency. I don't know how many males are in this large group, and with all the storage in the basement, trying to find all the offending areas is almost impossible.
Labor Day. Good grief.
It will take a lot more than a few new charts and fabric to get this crab to mellow.
Have a safe and enjoyable Labor Day.

Those are adorable Halloweeny stitcheries. How could you resist? The backing fabrics are perfect.
Glad you're feeling better about "things". I reread some comments and think I may go searching for some of that Odoban (or whatever it's called) myself - for various reasons.
Used to love it when new citizens came into my (not "mine" but I was the boss) Post Office to apply for their American passports...always a party. Happy Labor Day.
Oh Marly, I love the fabrics you are going to use for backing your Halloween stitches. It sounds like the party was enjoyable.
Love Prairie Schooler! and your fabric choices for finishing are perfect too!
I had to laugh when I saw the two PS Halloween charts you are going to work on, Marly, because I honestly was just looking at those two in my PS stash last night. Just love them... But, then a PS Christmas piece caught my eye--and you know me and Christmas stitching :) But, some day! Great fabric choices, too.
Glad the party was fun. I do love a good Mariachi band. My oldest son and DIL had them at their bridal shower and at their wedding reception in 2017 and it was wonderful. My DIL is Mexican-American so a Mariachi band is a must. Congratulations to your neighbor on his new citizenship, too.
I hope this sunny warm weather continues for us this month--have a good one! ♥
Those Halloween stitches are going to be fun pieces!
The party was a great start to your neighbor's American citizenship. He is already living a well deserved American dream May God bless him and America!
Nothing like a good Mariachi band...unless, of course, it's a fun Halloween stitch. I don't watch floss tubes - and that's one of the reasons why - I am tempted beyond resistance. I have that PS booklet (along with several others) waiting in the wings... I really love the vintage vibe they do with Halloween. That jolly jack is new to me and adorable. Another temptation. Love the backing fabrics too... Finding the right backing fabrics is such a challenge to me. We have 2 quilt/fabric shops in town but both cater to an entirely different taste than mine and I've never been successful shopping for fabric online. I've ended up with a bunch of pieces that "didn't work." Glad at least the house is a few cats lighter. ~Robin~
I recently stitched up 3 of the Halloweenies. I too watched Tara. She had lots of Prairie Schooler. I will be starting the month ones soon. Janice
Only one floss tube I am watching and try not to fall in love with the charts.
The party was a great succes and a pity you could not make a little impression because you did respect the Amish people.
Happy to hear there are some of the cats are gene...hope they wil soon all goes and Carole her health will improve.
Take care, Truus from Holland
PS designs are always so great - love the cats!! And the backing fabric you bought looks perfect. Have fun!
Marly: It sounds like you had an amazing time, love that this person did the right thig and applied for citizenship, please congratulate him for us. I do not celebrate Halloween but love seeing what people are stitching. The backing fabrics are perfect.
Catherine
That PS chart is a good one! I watch floss tube whenever I have the time and yes, they can entice to buy charts, fabric, and stitching goodies!
