Tightness

In my chest from .... anger, anxiety?  And now in my stitching.

After accompanying Carole to a ridiculous and frustrating dental appointment, I'm ready to burst.  Between the cats, her house, the work, my brother, and yesterday's inexcusable treatment, I need calm.  I have one ativan left from a few years back during her health crisis.  My friend gets an rx for 3 a day and has for years.  Teacher friends complain that one third of the class have rx for pot.  What?  I plan to use that final .5 pill this afternoon, it won't change anything other than to give my chest grip a break.  When I find a new doc, will I have to beg for ten pills a year again?  Of course.

This is the start on 46 count and the 3857 dmc single strand is quite tight in a solid block, like me.  I hope the width margin will be sufficient for a seam, so far it appears good.

I use the sewing method and do a full cross on every tenth stitch to aid in counting those long sections.  Not thinking clearly, I forgot at first and went back to add.  This is not anchored, more like a basting stitch and I'll pull out before completing the row.

I think I'll stop bugging blogger for a week or so.  Whether this or another (lower count) project, I hope to have more to show then.

Take care folks!

You must take care of yourself first. Please ask for the help you need in caring for your sister. I hope that you are able to find some balance soon.

Sorry to hear about the tightness - on all accounts. I think I need Ativan...but, heck, just getting my injections seems to be a challenge these days. Wishing you peace... ~Robin~

Please take care of yourself in the first place at this moment. Hope the pill does it for you and take the tightness away.
You are doing more than enough and now it's your turn.
A big hug and have fun with your stitching, Truus from Holland

It might be easier for you to get a medical marijuana prescription than more Ativan. It might not help the underlying cause, but might be worth a try just to get a mental relaxed moment, especially when stitching isn't going well. Just a thought...
Sorry so much crap is hitting the fan stressing you out. Again. Hope things calm down during your blogging break.

Oh Marly. Perhaps you need to give your doctor more of the tough attitude you give your family or switch doctors. I have never heard of prescription pot for kids!!!

seems like everyone has a bit of 'tightness' going on...keep an eye on that my friend...I make my own lemon balm tincture, put fresh lemon balm in my tea...I also take a few drops of Tulsi tincture {Holy Basil} they all seem to help with stress and anxiety ~ let me know if you need more info on that! xoxox

I hope this has been a better week, Marly. I'm feeling the same way and finally broke down and went to the doctor on Thursday. No test results yet, unfortunately. My mother had a serious heart attack at exactly my age so I don't want to fool around and wait for things to clear up. Hope you can get some answers from a new doctor soon. In the meantime, I hope your stitching at least, brings some calm. ♥

Need I mention the airline face mask saga? You cannot do all you do for others if you are out of commission. A compassionate doc should recognize
your need and help sustain you over this hurdle. If you can, step away for a day and devote it to finding calm and whatever recovery you can muster. "Teach me to care and not to care" When and how are the keys... Praying
you through, dear friend....
