Glimpse

First, wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving.

My follow up visit showed the retina is healing nicely, I am able to recline now.  Unfortunately, that moved the bubble to center, perception and vision problems will continue for a few more weeks.

This holiday is very difficult for us, Chris is really struggling.  His favorite meal, her favorite to prepare, she loved to cook and bake.

Here is a snap of before, and a glimpse of progress.

We had the shiplap left over from the back room, just enough for this tiny area. I wanted to have a counter for candle/accessories which wasn't possible with the pedestal.  Also, the wainscoting was a cheap mess, covered with saw chatter marks.  So added the shiplap over, scott will construct a wood top with apron and two bins.

This is a test for height and apron size.

Panels/trim installed, putty and paint touch up after vanity is installed.  My tiny iron towel rack with bean ends is not to be found.

The vessel sink is white and the waterfall faucet, other hardware and mirror frame will be black.  I wanted an unusual sink but none are available in such a small size.

Happy Thanksgiving to you.

Marly, your little bathroom is going to be so cute! I’m so glad your eye is healing well and that you can sit back some. I hope your vision improves sooner rather than later. Sorry to hear that Chris is still not well. I wish you a relaxing Thanksgiving. There will be time to get together when everyone is feeling better. Take care of yourself. Happy Thanksgiving! Even with the wacky vision issues caused by movement of the bubble, it must feel heavenly to finally be able to recline. Sorry to hear about Chris's struggles and will continue to keep him in my prayers. I get the difficulty of the holidays...all of mine now are "tainted" by an immediate family member's passing...other than Valentine's Day, which I don't think much of as a holiday anyway. It will be a year on Thanksgiving that we had my husband's visitation and then his funeral and burial the following day. That little bath is going to be adorable. I've always wanted a vessel sink but have been steered away from one for some reason or another... I do hope you can find some joy in Thanksgiving. I know it will be a difficult one. ~Robin~

The bathroom will be nice. I like the alternative of using a counter and apron instead of the usual vanity. I'm sure the missing towel rack will show up. After you find an alternative and put it up if you're anything like me.
Sorry Chris is still not recovering well. I hope whatever's going on gets straightened out soon. You deserve a good long stretch of NOT worrying about family member's health woes.
I'm SO happy to hear the retina tear is healing well! I hope the remaining vision oddities from the bubbles clear up soon. Hope your Thanksgiving goes well.
