This large house has been an easy, no chart required, boring fill. But anything else would not be tolerated. The red is complete, second cross of the ecru just starting. I usually stitch the first half of the cross when a placement error would be much easier to remove.
Have not decided on door color, chimneys or not (roof was changed), or whether to stitch the second vase on the house's right side. Doing so would be good proportion for a drum, but is that large house awkward for such a finish? Do I care? Not really.
But since so much time has been invested, I will complete the ecru. Do I want to? Not really! I'm forcing myself to stitch, flosstube and new purchases are not even interesting right now. But Lori's little folks are winking at me, and after mentioning them I received her Santa as a gift from a sweet friend.
And yes, I used to knit, even made my home ec teacher a fully fashioned cardigan with double placket, buttonholes, and two inset pockets. That was ninth grade (and an A).
Heartache is worse at times as you all know too well. Illness continues at her house, and no doubt it's covid again. New home tests are not showing positive, but the symptoms and fevers don't lie. My three tests two years ago at urgent care were all negative before the er visit where the swab went much deeper.
EDIT - Just got a call that Tracy is in hospital, fever reached 104, tested negative.
I hope everyone is healthy and doing well. Hard to believe this is November.
Thanks for visiting.

Oh no!!! Hoping Tracy recovers quickly as well as the rest of the household. I'm really liking Ann...Unlike most, I tend to find fill-in relaxing. I love Lori's littles. I think I've stitched 3 of them? FFO'd?? Ha!! Try to stay well Marly...think of you often. ~Robin~
Prayers for all, especially Tracy.

Prayers for you sweet lady to find comfort and peace on Carole’s passing. Sorry to hear that Tracy is so ill and praying that her recovery is quick. But don’t you go over to the house to check on Chris and the kids as whatever nasty virus they have all exposed to would wreck havoc on you!
Oh, Marly! Why not a green door!
I agree, try to fight the urge to go over there. The last thing you or Mark need is covid. Hope she is feeling better soon. Prayers for all of them.
Praying for Tracy's relief from illness. Continued thoughts and prayers for you, Marly. The house is looking awesome.
Sorry to hear Tracy is so sick, I hope Chris doesn't catch it - last thing he needs during surgery recovery. I hope you are able to avoid going over there for now. At least going no farther in the house than dropping something off at the door.
I have no suggestions on the stitching. A drum would be nice, but if you're not really feeling the stitching love... I do like Nancy's idea of a green door.
Hoping Tracy will be in the clear soon and the whole household as back on schedule as possible. More importantly, hope you are steadily recovering and taking care of your own needs during this time. Continued prayers
So sorry that Tracy is so ill in hospital....hope/pray for a recovery soon.
Take care now for yourself and Mark that don't go into the house and stay away for now.
A pindrum would be nice of your stitching and is a quick finish with the flowers on both site of the house.
Take care and stay save-- a big hug and prayers to you,Truus from Holland
Hope Tracy is felling better. I too have a few or Lori's littles. One I stitched already. I do like your house and I like stitching fill in. It relaxes me not having to count and just stitch. Janice
The house looks good. I, too, am working on a big-ass house and the solid stitching is tiresome. Healing thoughts to Tracy.
Praying for you and Tracy.
