I have seen many small antique samplers in red (not charts) online over the years. And noted several of them for future stitching.
This is one.
The outline and borders of most consisted of several rows of various stitches, as simple as running stitch to detailed specialty. Substantial for such tiny samplers, like mimicking a frame. This one has five or more, mostly running stitch. When those are added, this may measure about 3" on 40 count.
February.
Hope it's a good month for you.

That is a very small sampler and it looks very pretty.
Take care, Truus from Holland
I like red samplers and I took have saved some for personal use...yet I have not stitched any yet. I also thought they would be pretty sitting out for February... if I did finally stitch any, Janice
Lovely start Marly, I do like the red Samplers you stitched in the past.

I've always loved redwork. I know this isn't that, but red and neutral reminds me of my grandmother's redwork towels and the twin quilt she made.
Very pretty. I am drawn to single color charts...but then I get bored or tired, but maybe something small would be doable for me.
Darling, Marly. Which doll will it go to?😊
Bless your eyes! Another teeny so lovely. I like the leisure of using just
on color at times... omits the distraction of "changing"... Love this one.
