Not eaZy

Well.  I added the missing U and the Z to this alphabet.  U was easy, Z was not.  Not!  I stitched it every way possible and decided on this.

One band on the bottom to match the top, and will then decide if crown motifs will be red or other to finish this.

This has taken twice as long on this 46 count than before.  Tuesday I am returning to the eye doctor.  That laser repair may have caused cataracts to increase quickly, and also the severe dryness.  You would think not being able to produce a tear during a cry is the highest level of dryness.  Nope.  The burn, the blur, the drops that are now $25 lasting two days.  Switched to an Advantage plan and the claim that they must cover what Medicare does, is crap.  At their discretion in many cases, and they will not cover the Prokera lens.  Medicare paid for each eye every six months.

Soon to be finished.... what's next?

Love your U and Z. Sorry about your eyes. I hope something can be done to make them better. You need them for more than one reason. Charlotte in Va.

Sorry about your eyes. Hope the issue can be resolved. I like your little sampler. I started a small one over the weekend and didn't like it. Started another only to realize I had already stitched it (and did not want to stitch it again). Now I am back to a small red sampler. We shall see.....

Precious red alphabet, Marly! Give your eyes a break ... Maybe stitch 36 count?

Well done on the added letters. Sorry about the eyes getting worse and the insurance situation.

Is that the 46 count from Hobby Lobby or did you dye this?

So sorry about the eye issues…and especially for the Advantage plan denials. I have not even checked in to changing any of my medical plans…too afraid of screwing things up!

Such a cute little sampler, Marly. Sorry about your continued eye problems and good luck with your appointment tomorrow. I just had cataract surgeries in the last two weeks and they were so easy. Especially compared to what you had with your retina surgery. I am amazed at how well I can see and I’m hoping the same for you. Cherie in WI

You did a great job on designing that Z, Marly! Darn eyes... I'm so sorry the dryness and cataracts are worsening. I'm sad to read about the Advantage plan denying coverage, too. We've been pleased with ours but haven't had any unusual drugs--so far. Getting older is not for the faint of heart. Good luck tomorrow.

I was hoping someone else caught this but alas it is going to be me that noticed there is no “J”. My ophthalmologist said that once a vitrectomy is done the need to remove the cataract proceeds quickly. Sounds like the same thing happens with whatever laser treatment they did on you.

So sorry about the difficulty with your eyes.... and sorry about the
run-around from Advantage...That is what happens when one invests
trust in those who mislead.... were we better off when we had the
control? one can only wonder...

Hello marly: Love this red design, the Z looks perfect.
So sorry about the dryness and the problems with your eyes.
I am so happy we did not do the Advantage Plan so many people have been having problems getting care and drugs.

Your little red sampler is beautiful and love the letters you have added to it.
So sorry to hear about your eyesight after all you had gone through.

I have too many friends that went with Advantage plans , ok when you are relatively healthy but need a specialist or extra care and forget it-- Advantage is only an advantage to the insurance company. Or you have to travel miles to see a sub par doc that will accept that plan.
