Hi folks. Hope you're having a good weekend.
It's been a week of appointments for me. Found out this continuing (for months) vertigo is actually Meniere's disease. Great. Many other issues and various tests next week. Too many things at once.
Next project will probably be one of the floral smalls in the same book as Ann Dexter (Small Samplings). There are three, not sure which will be first. I really detest choosing a linen color.
I like using clipboards to hold projects, original chart, working copy, thread legend all together. Otherwise, I'm holding or reaching for one or the other. These of chipboard are standard size so hubs cut them down for the small charts or cards.
Baseboards are painted, walls next week if this arm pain subsides. So far, nothing helps. Hiring for the other rooms. We have no furniture stores here, my favorite in ohio closed recently. Could not find workers that showed up, weren't reeking of marijuana, or interested in learning about products for customers. Ordering online without knowing if it will be comfortable is not an option. And most are huge, way too deep for small rooms.
Have a nice weekend, stay safe.

I hate shopping for furniture! Hetty Person is a cute piece!
Since the demise of so many independent furniture stores, and with them options and choices, furniture shopping stinks. When my current chair wears out, I'll probably investigate getting it recovered. IF there's anyone around that still does that sort of work, that is.
So sorry about the Meniere's diagnosis, hope they have a trick or 2 in their bag that can cut down on the vertigo. I hope the testing next week goes well.
Nice idea to cut down the clip boards!
I do love the smalls. I understand about the vertigo I'm having bouts this winter too. I've had it before but thankfully mine is off and on and not constant. The furniture thing too. GRRR I'm holding on to an old couch that came from a consignment store years ago because of the same issues you are having. We do have stores here that sell items from model homes. That's where mine came from. Maybe we are all at the mercy of online or interior decorators. Good luck and take care of yourself. You've been through lots and stress can play a huge part in our poor (in my case) old bodies.
So sorry to hear of the new diagnosis...but at least having a name for it may help them narrow down a treatment for it? The eye thing...just seems unbearable to me. And insurance...please don't get me started. Since I have to have these iv's daily, I had the option of coming to the hospital daily at the same time and have them do it, or for me to do it at home. I opted for the latter since they were even then predicting 10" of snow for the following day. I just couldn't risk not being able to get there. Guess which version was more expensive?? The one I do myself at home (and I have a hefty copay for the equipment needed as well). Grrrr... And I feel your pain about the furniture. The upper level at the lake has been mostly done except for furniture. All of our stores that carry anything of minimal quality have closed and my experience ordering online is the thing nightmares of made of. Glad you have the mojo to stitch. I have not stitched, hooked, or even read a page in a book for three weeks now. ~Robin~
PS...I'm still in love with that little redwork heart you did. Whose pattern is that please?
You just can't catch a break health-wise. Prayers you get some answers and treatments to put this all behind you.
We love our hometown furniture store and home it remains for a long long time. I hope the new diagnosis will help with better treatment for you. Janice
Love the idea with the clipboards! Shopping for furniture is so hard. I agree that everything seems to be huge. We have a Lazyboy Furniture store not too far from us where we purchased our couch and it fits nicely in our small living room. It seems to be well made also.
Gosh, Marly... it just seems like one thing after another for you and your health. I sure hope they can offer some treatments that will help. Love your header of heart finishes. Each is so different, but so very pretty! Take care now ♥
Andreas Furniture in Sugarcreek Ohio is a huge store that has a wonderful variety of brands and styles. I lived in Dover, Ohio, for years so Andreas was the place to go for furniture. They also have a very large free delivery area and a sales staff to will help you narrow down what you are looking for so you aren't searching everywhere. Just be prepared to do some walking. The good thing is there are plenty of places to sit!
sorry to hear about Meniere's...my cousin has it, she was told to eliminate stress...HA! hoping you can get relief from it soon. and I agree on the clipboard usage for holding charts!
So sorry to read about the Ménière’s disease. Now that you have a name for it hopefully there is treatment you can get. Furniture stores! Yes. About the only place you can go anymore is IKEA which is not my style. I like some of their things but certainly do not want to do a household wide of IKEA. Love the hearts in your header. You are giving me ideas. Take care. R
