A start

Songbird Whistles from the BBD Sewing Club book.

I should be further along but I removed and changed thread colors.  It's what I do.

Also narrowed the width to create a tighter drum finish.  I miscalculated the linen needed.  It's what I do.

I had to make the center berries three stitches wide because I need symmetry, and the basket is one stitch too wide.  Why?  So easy to correct, but did not notice until it was stitched.

Another special card received from talented card maker Brenda.  His hat sparkles.  Thank you again!

My Sjogren's flare is the worst ever, lips and mouth tissues shrink and stiffen within 10 minutes of speaking.  My final request to approve the Prokera lenses that Medicare covered previously, was formally denied by the advantage plan.  Expected, but now in writing.

The hospital under new ownership is now open, and I found a facility that offers the CCTA test about 45 minutes from here.  No need to travel to Pittsburgh or Cleveland!

Me .. "I would like this done at the facility I found closer to home."

Them .."There is nowhere else but Pittsburgh or Cleveland."

Me .. "I spoke with them, they offer it."

Them .. "Ma'am, if there was any place closer, don't you think we would be sending patients there."

Me .."Did you ever try?  Have you ever called this facility?"

Them .. "I don't have to.  I know."

Me .. "Do your job bitch, before I come through this phone."

And now They know and I'm sure patients will be happy.  Everyone in that office is so pleasant, I don't know where she came from.

The End.

Your new cross stitch is off to a great start!

That made me laugh but sorry for your aggravation!

Well, guess there would have been some answers to my questions had I read this earlier. Anyways...glad you were able to find a facility closer for the test, but yikes... Sadly, I think that exchange between you and the "lady" on the phone sums up the state of our healthcare system too aptly. Your new start is looking good...love your colors...and what you do. (Sorry to hear about the flare...and the denial of the lenses. I just found out that my medicare premiums were increased by $400+/mo. due to my infusions. What the heck? I didn't ask for this....)

Oh Marly, sorry but I laughed laud by your comment to that lady in the office!!!
I saw a Marly girl with the big pants from many years ago....she would have said that than and you did it again..
I don't understand why they answer at questions from people in this way -- it's the same here in Holland too.
Your stitching will be great with the color changes.
Take care, Truus from Holland

Wow! Not what I would have expected as a reply but sometimes you just have to go there. I really hate how ‘professionals’ just don’t want to listen to us - the untrained - but often we are the ones with more common sense as well as we have to be our own advocates. In my next life I want a job that allows me to have a big “denied” stamp that I send people to start over. Well not really, that wouldn’t be me but it is empowering to think about.

Hi Marly: Some designers just do not check the margins of some of their designs. I have had to move and redo some baskets like you have to do.
Hopefully you can get care closer to home.
