What a hassle for impatient crabasses like me.
I saw what I would like, I ordered. Then more charts are shown for preorder daily. My usual 123stitch shop does not offer preorder. Being notified when new charts are in stock doesn't work for me. Not attached to a phone, check emails once daily, by the time I see the notice items are sold out. So the first order was placed with Anabelle's. Both Kogut. I wanted the Jingle Ball blue santa and this stocking offers him in green. I will choose a blue thread and work him alone.
Other items desired were found at different sites, different days, listed as sold out for preorder on one, and not offered at all on a third, fourth, fifth. So much back and forth! Did not realize that preorders can be sold out so do I take a chance by waiting for the next batch to show? I settled for three at one shop offering free shipping for Nashville and will get the others eventually. I don't like ordering single items from several places, too confusing and leads to doubles. My old brain needs order.

Those sure are pretty, especially the Merry Christmas holly and the birds in the tree.
i just always made a folder in my favorites for each year's Nashville Market and save the listings there for the ones that catch my eye. Then I go back in late spring and revisit the folder, delete the ones I'm no longer interested in, and order the ones I still really love from 123stitch. I call it "half-year Christmas". There's only been a few times over the years that one of my must-haves hasn't been restocked by June. Yeah, I have to wait a few months and squash hard any feelings of FOMO, but I get antsy ordering things piecemeal.
Ugh...don't get me started on Market. I think I'm going to put blinders on and just wait it all out and order when things are normal again. I agree that it's too confusing to order from more than 1 shop...I forget what I ordered from where. And I can't seem to find some of the ones I've seen shown as releases anywhere (e.g., Needlework Press...Yes, saw that parlour pinkeep on Hobbyhouse's site but not other ones of theirs that caught my eye.) (And how did you manage to get that pattern already when it's supposedly a market release?? Ugh...I'm confused.) And I thought I saw all of Kathy Barrick's pieces, but didn't see the one you posted? What the heck?? But I think I ordered the Lucy Beam Merry Christmas?? Guess I'll find out. ~Robin~
Oh...and I KNOW I ordered the BBD....LOL
Well, I didn't even know Market was going on (or will or has). LOL. I used to follow it, but now I don't. Love that BBD piece though - very nice.
Love the BBD piece, but didn't order because I have already a lot of charts to stitch.
And get every month a small sampler chart to make from the Small Sampler Sal from my shop-- De Handwerk Boetiek in Roden, the Netherlands. So enough to stitch!.
Love the star you have stitched.
Take care, Truus from Holland
I too do not like that 123 does not have a pre-order. Always my luck that I put in an order and then one I wanted to be notified comes in just after I place my order. UGH.. I have 4 on my list. None that you chose though...but I do not remember seeing that Blackbird one. Will need to watch for that one. Janice
Hi Marly (and all); You may love or hate me for this, or just ignore me LOL..... My ONE-stop shop source for ALL Nashville pre-orders is Tomorrow's Heirlooms. You can get on their email list by request at info@tomheir.com. The girls there will send an email out for each designer as they receive the designer's new pattern design release information. If you want to 'reserve' something, you respond to the emails with your requests. The only caveat is that your requests are a commitment and you must leave your credit card on file with them. The Tommorow's Heirloom girls physically go to the Nashville market and visit the designer's rooms, pick up the needed number of copies of each pattern, come back to their shop in the Chicago area, sort everything, and mail you your requested patterns; charging your credit card at that time for the patterns and the reasonable shipping fee. The shop tends to specialize in sampler patterns so while they don't carry every single designer and pattern released, they do carry pretty much all of the most well-known sampler designers. They will also send emails and take your orders as they receive new patterns into the shop during the course of the year, not only during market. They also carry most linens and threads as well. They have been my Go-To shop for years and just thought I would mention them. Might be too late for the majority of this year's Nashville market but might be worth getting on their email list to see what they typically carry in their shop and then be included for all of next year's Market.
I pay market little attention other than seeing what others are pointing out on their blogs. I already have more than enough patterns to last my remaining days. Besides, if I really need a new pattern, I should put the sampler design class lessons to use!
You've found some nice patterns, Marly!
@debbie h - thanks for the tip about the shop.
Hi Marly: Love the brown fabric and thread colors on the Parlor Pinkeep. I am so excited about the Naughty Or Nice stocking design, a must stitch.
