Yay!
In the pile of completed projects waiting for a final finish, this tiny chart was found. So glad.
I worked this on 40 count with the year we lost Carole, but that count doesn't seem right. There is no other star, button or other, that is smaller than this one without being too small. I tried stitching a star, also a heart, but it didn't appeal to me as much as an embellishment. So I started again on 36, done in the brighter dmc 817, more like our neon resident.
The first one I stitched was a lower count and much nicer. I like the added outline border too. Maybe that would help the 40 count finish? This is the original which was offered in a giveaway. I believe it was 30 or 32 count. The star is a much better fit. I love this design.
While watching Carol Saltbox and seeing over one on 28 count, I am now hesitating on removing these from stash. The thing I don't care for, is the look of very small tight stitches on a large weave fabric. I'll keep a few pieces though and especially the 30 count. But the rest gotta go. I started listing some charts on the For Sale tab, but will post when everything is ready.
This has been keeping me busy. Our painting pros around here retired during covid, and very few have taken over. They have little experience, not one can use a sprayer which I was hoping to have done. And I will never use Moore's Aura paint again. White Dove over a light tan needs THREE coats. No other paint has matched well enough and we bought several gallons for walls and trim. Can't switch now.
Hope everyone is doing well.
Thanks for visiting.

I was wondering where you've been! Happy all is well.
Painting...ugh! I painted the house inside before moving here in 1999. Needless to say I refuse to do it this time around (just too dang old!!!) and it has needed it for years.
Tweet little cardinal.
I'm glad you found that pattern! When you mentioned you couldn't find it, I tried to find one online for you with no success. Wish I could help with the star. Our LNS has buttons and bobs but I doubt I'd be able to gauge the proper size...but I will look. Painting is a sore subject with me. Seems like it always is. Grrr. Happy weekend. Rain has stopped (for now) but, dang that wind is wicked and it's cold.
The little red bird looks great and will be lovely with the lace around the neck.
The legs of the dinner table is ruïned by our cats and now they are both are gone over the rainbow,I will paint these when it will be warmer outside.
Take care and a happy weekend, Truus from Holland
