Size matters

Some charts are printed on superb quality paper, perfect clarity, large size and easily read, even colored options.  Others are the standard, most requiring an enlarged working copy.

But this.

I couldn't believe its size for the twelve thread colors that are swirling this design.  Actual chart is 3.25 x 5.5, about the size of it finished. So I enlarged 25%, still difficult (for me) to see those symbols, any higher will blur.

I will try to color but that will be difficult to keep confined to tiny graph squares.  Will use the Dazor to read because one way or another, I will stitch this beauty!!

Eventually.

I downloaded the pdf from istitch of her Mini Band I and II after seeing Melinda of Merry Wind Farm post her band samplers on spools.  Swoon!  But since I lost patience or ambition for any larger project, chose these two minis.  I will stitch over two, not one as charted, and can use my short spools for them.  Single color, tiny, another easy project.

Enjoy your evening.

I eyed up that chart at my LNS and agree, it is quite small. But, it’s a beauty! Love the little purse you just finished, Marly. Have a good weekend! Cherie in WI

Good evening. I use my little tablet and take a picture and save. When I pull it up I can take 2 fingers and enlarge without blurring or distorting. Hope this helps

Huh? istitch? Melinda's band samplers? I'm obviously out of the loop on many things. Sweet pattern you have there though. It took some convincing but I am finally hooked on Goodnotes. You can upload your pdf's there (or photocopies/scans of paper patterns) and then you can enlarge to your heart's desire with minimal distortion...and use the highlight feature to keep track of where you are. Might be worth exploring. It's a free app.

Hi Marly: Oh my that is small, I am not sure why some designers have such a love of small print, love this design, looing forward to seeing the spools finished with the designs you choose.

The chart is beautiful and I love roses, but the chart is very small indeed.
Most times I take a picture of the chart or upload the chart and then I can make it as big as I wanted it for my stitching.
Happy stitching and take care,Truus from Holland

Had to rush out to get that JBW Georgian Bouquet chart! Now how to be able to see it :) I think the fair thing to do is include a scratch-off, or whatever, pdf code to get an enlargement!!! Obviously with proof of purchase!! Your work is always inspiring!
