than this job took years ago. Arthritic hands and body sure slow you down.
The older paint is not dark, a medium tan I'd say. But the White Dove Aura is taking three coats. Small kitchen but overwhelming me! Five lower cabinets and four uppers plus the backsplash vertical shiplap, fridge cabinet, and beneath bar to do yet. Yoi.
My nerve tests showed nothing requiring surgery yet, and they can't explain the pain that radiates from mid bicep down through fingers. I expected it was something weird, always is. The cardio tests are still not scheduled after seven weeks. Now they are saying the facility won't accept my insurance. They do. I spoke with them, I spoke with Highmark, and the office is being very testy and telling me to choose another facility. I'm changing to another doctor, but first opening is in August. Matt broke up another fight at school and was hurt, he's been off seven weeks, no check from workman's comp yet, and his MRI can't be done until August. No openings.
I dyed a piece of linen I didn't care for to a lighter shade of the Sanguine. Pink is not a favorite, but neither are florals and fussies yet I'll be stitching them.
It has rained heavily with no mercy for days, is raining now, and will be all week with cool temps. June 1 will probably be 90 degrees.
And I found a nutroll in the freezer! Last one, thought they were all gone. It will be very soon.
Be good, be safe, be well.

The fabric turned out lovely, Marly. I am sorry you are getting the run around from the cardiologist's office. Praying Matt can get the MRI sooner.
Enjoy the nutroll, dear one....you have earned it. Hope your
insurance issues get resolved and that Matt has a speedy
recovery. Love the kitchen re-do....you are a marvel.
Yikes...your health care system there is worse than ours here it seems. :-( I don't know if it's the same type of issues you are experiencing, but I have arm/hand pain/weakness/numbness also - more on my left than my right. Several years ago, they did a nerve conduction test and it should cervical stenosis??? I am now on Gabapentin. It helps but certainly hasn't eliminated the issue. Your kitchen is looking wonderful! I can't imagine doing that myself....eeek. I'm hoping the renovations of the lower level of the lake house will be finished soon. I'm not only not doing it myself, I confess I have delegated more decisions than I probably should have. Some thing are going to be a total surprise. I'm just hoping of the good sort. You must be having the weather we were having. Today is beautiful (upper 70's!) but then we cool down again until next week.
And lucky find on the nutroll. Rummaging my freezer is on the agenda for today. I was sure I had another babka in there.
Boy that's a nice kitchen. I always dreamed of having a kitchen designed to be perfect for me, but alas, I live in a miniscule place and the surge in house prices means I will never move to a nicer home. It's tough to accept a long-held dream has died.
For what it's worth, I think the pink is dreamy. It reminds me of the faded colors at the seashore, weathered by sun and wind and water. Soft beach roses, wave-washed bricks, sun-faded porch cushions.
You did a great job by painting the kitchen yourself! It looks beautiful.
Hope that Matt will have a speedy recovery.
Please send some of the rain to our country, because it's very dry here at the moment-- no rain for weeks or only some dripping.
Take care, Truus from Holland
