Finally!
WDW Mascara was out of stock at my usual online shops, waited for a back order from the last one. I don't want GAST unless I can see the skein I'm purchasing, and found info that WDW Mascara was the closest to black. I don't have the other called for, prefer this oilcloth color.
Now the fabric choice. Oh how I hate that. I have three pieces of Lallybroch that are not the new subdued color, two to be sold. Can't find those two along with the Creme Brulee piece. But the one I planned to keep was my choice for this. Do I really want to cut a 5x7 piece off? Nope. So I tried to dye a much more subtle mottling on cream.
And then I wanted a little more depth of color and ruined it. Still have the dye mix in my bottle so will try again. I don't mind ruining cream linen, can always bleach it back to the starting point.
So tonight .... the start.
Hope everyone is doing well.

That's going to be a great piece Marly!! All that black stitching would drive me crazy, but I know you will make short work of it. Have fun stitching!!
Cannot wait to see this one finished. I also loved your last finish too. Janice
I don't need to tell you how much I love this. I have the chart but have not kitted it yet. I am looking forward to your "interpretation." I'm sure it will be awesome!
