Fabric. Again.

Trying to determine if the right linen is being used for this project.  But that decision may be moot since this border is not enjoyable.  Not difficult, just more involved than I am interested in.  I knew it would be, but being small should be tolerated.  Hopefully, long enough to complete.

Called for is Creme Brulee, the largest mottled piece in this photo, not happening.  I started on Heartland 40, think it will go well with the pear colors and bright red.  It does.  The pinkish tone of the Creme Brulee in the chart photo is nice, and this pinkish piece I have may be better?

I may just switch to 46 count ivory.

This drives me batty, and is of course, my own fault.

Retina tests today.

Have a good day!

hi Marly, I have always Loved this pattern and hope you continue with it as you have started. I think it will be stunning with your choices (and I will be most envious!)

Hmmm...(don't get angry with me, but...) If you think the Heartland goes well with the bright red and the pear as you hoped, what, exactly, is it that you're not liking about the choice? Personally, I'm not fond of the pinkish tones and I've not figured out how the model could possibly be stitched on Creme Brulee if that larger piece you show is Creme Brulee - no resemblance whatsoever as I'm seeing them. Good luck with the tests.

Hope the tests went well...
Every time you start a new piece you have trouble with your linen choice and that makes me smile. What I don't understand, is the high count of the fabric. It makes me crazy when I choose a high count and my eyesight will be blurred within half an hour despite my magnifyer (hope that'sthe right word)
Enjoy your stitching and take care,Truus from Holland
