Found during a hissy fit

While throwing charts around (literally), I came across a sampler started many years ago on 32 count.  Ann Greanawalt is the project, starting over on 40 count.  All my early needleworks were Scarlet Letter marking and simple sampler kits on 25 count natural linen over two.  Still my favorite style.

The plan is to include the top flowers with stem and satin leaves, skip down to Ann's name, the specialty stitch dividing bands, and the eyelet alpha. This will result in less than 5" square.  Wait.  Maybe do the sampler as is and stop after her name?  Question will be whether I want to work eyelet or basic alpha.  Using natural linen as I always did for SL charts.

Decided to outline leaves in backstitch and then try satin again after a real mess on first try.

Can't find the original chart, just my beat up working copy.  I  converted the silk to dmc for the blue and gold and olive, the flowers will be red (charted gold).  I think I will love her.  Let's hope.  Crabass moods are unreliable.

Wendy's stopped offering the sausage gravy over biscuit.  It was outstanding and we're so disappointed.  Never really advertised the dish, big mistake not to.  We sent friends there that didn't know it was on the menu, all thought better than Evans.  And now gone.  We got their breakfast biscuit ( bacon, sausage or chicken) for $1 thru end of August, they are excellent.  I'll tell you the story about an employee there later.

August.  Beginning of  the end.
