My brother had a routine ekg, and echo over 60%. If I didn't talk him into requesting the PET stress, he would eventually have had a heart attack. 92% block in right coronary artery. Another smaller, unstentable from the left ventricle which will be treated with meds. He was shoveling three drives, cutting grass, cleaning gutters, at 82, with no real symptoms. No idea. Routine stress testing is important.
She reviewed my test. Nothing good. Several areas quite bad, significant lack of blood flow and damage. All in the left ventricle, partly from the right coronary, another "significant" from the widow maker (left anterior descending). She was shocked at the complete lack of flow, said to prepare myself, may be bypass. There is always a chance that a few stents will be a viable option. Sure hope so.
