to a warm sunny day.
Yesterday was a disaster, ending with my arthritic hand losing grip on a glass container. The tiny shards were even twelve feet away.
Today started early with my last vein treatment 40 minutes from home. Would I make it back for Carole's cardiology appointment at 10:30? Would we have time to get to the store there for cannoli shells and jumbo pasta shells? Yes and yes! The cannoli shells were on clearance for $2 since the expiration date was today. Not a problem since they will be filled and frozen tomorrow. Not only was everything in perfect step, we didn't wait long for the exam, followed by on time pacemaker check, and everyone was very pleased with her checkup! Called for transport, came in 5 minutes, we left, hubs had time to get ready for golf. She is back home pleased with her results, hubs is headed to the course, I am sitting in quiet having an iced coffee and enjoying the sunshine. Thankful, peaceful day.
Hung my fridge tree....
worked on Joyeux last night ...
played with a box display.
Since ornaments were not retrieved for display this year, I don't have the baubles to add to the box. And the stitcheries all have hangers attached, not keen on removing them right now. This was just playtime, trying to decide which designs would be best.
I plan to just relax this afternoon, run the squeegee on my windows, do some stitching, and try Paulette's mystery chicken enchiladas for dinner.
Hoping your day will be as positive as mine!

Major decision made after a week of anxiety. Signed the papers to cancel my medigap supplement. Second thoughts? Of course, but it is done, no option to ever go back.
I actually have two WIPs now. Highly unusual for me, but I set aside the samplers for Joyeux Noel. The leaf on the lower left is one strand on this 32 count, I changed to two (using 3362). After trying the lighter green for the leaves in the second outline, all was removed and I've decided to continue with 3362. With all that settled, I can move on.
I saw Kathy Barrick's tree on IG and oh my. Just gorgeous!
Info request - the Santas in the header are OOP Birds of a feather cards for each color.
Hope everyone is doing well. Be safe.

As every year, the decision to switch to a medicare advantage plan looms with only days left. Can't go back to a medicare supplement if I do. Pre-existing illness protection is not applicable to seniors.

I am disappointed the Sea Glass linen was put aside, but I may try to dye a small piece the brownish green shade.

Be safe!
Once again, I am seeing a sort of a honeycomb instead of a straight linen weave. This has ended projects before, and I don't have an explanation. Maybe the color throws me off, but it's too difficult to see where the over two is for me. My needle has chosen the wrong hole too many times and I have very little stitched, so the natural linen will be used for this project. No sense struggling. Tried rotating the linen, didn't help. Looking closely I can figure out the correct hole but needing to do that for every stitch is very time consuming! And frustrating.
My $3.50 wreaths from HL hung with jute. Could not find a narrow natural linen or jute ribbon, pretty ribbon is not preferred.
