Marching orders

In a search of the darling little sampler AWE from HATS, this info popped up.

"Hands Across the Sea" is a notable march composed by John Philip Sousa in 1899It is often associated with the phrase "AWE" because it is a standard piece of literature for American Wind Ensembles and bands.

How 'bout that?  Marching orders!

Maybe I'll listen to this during the many frogging sessions for motivation.

Testing was a few movements that were not uncomfortable in any way.  Imbalance of the ear crystals is not the cause of my decades of vertigo, and why additional testing was not done.  Could be genetic since siblings also have this.  Arterial, inner ear, labyrinth, meniere's and a few other possibilities could be the cause, none can be defined and treated.  So continue knocking myself out with meclizine or dramamine until it passes.  Any of the four known positions to reposition crystals will not help, may even cause an imbalance.  Done.

Guess how many times I had to change his mouth?  Counted again and again, numbers correct but tooth positions weren't.  Removed it all several times.  I gave up and worked the teeth only, added the surrounding stitches after, not all correct but worked out.  Sometimes not being able to locate errors is more frustrating than the errors!

I need to return to alphabets.

Enjoy your day.

Error after error

I think I may be past the grab the matches phase.

Hoping I have the gumption to do the entire design, love the background (leaves?) and purple ground.  But if the errors don't settle down, this may be a lone cat.

That fatter shorter tail contains three major fails that I just tried to hide by adding more stitches instead of removing them.

A few pics of the impatiens holding on in these warmer days.

I've noticed that homes with beautifully full blooming plants yet are mostly New Guinea type.

Nervous about my appointment today.  I have a lot of questions before he starts flipping me into positions to spin.  I hope he is not the same PT that I watched with patients last time.  If he is, he'll meet his match.

Have a good day.

Three levels of coverage

The first year anniversary of losing her.  The daily thoughts and grief hasn't changed, the anger regarding the actions of the two living there has not softened.  I am upset with myself for not being able to let it go.  Chris has to some degree, I can't.  Have been to her house very briefly only a few times since.  I see my loved yellow car parked there, now Tracy's, and it's as much a disaster as the house (she doesn't work).  Why are they there?  Grandkids.  They have enough trauma every other week when staying with their mother, great grandma's home was/is always their happy place.

Stitching.

I started the Halloween Cat on WDW linen that has a greenish cast, coverage on this 35 count is not good.  The top part is two threads, down from that is one thread with second leg of cross done twice, the right side of the bottom area is one thread.

That two thread section was quite difficult for me, too heavy pulling through and the black made it hard to see.  The single thread double cross is what I decided to work.  First option was wool, which gave me the raised texture I was wanting, but kept shredding.

Much time was spent on changes, starting over, now I have direction.

With a limp.

I dropped a seven foot long 4x4 on the side of my big toe.  Broken?  Too swollen and discolored to tell, but the bleeding finally stopped.  Need hydrocolloid again, lots of skin gone.

My rescheduled vertigo testing is tomorrow, I have decided to refuse any exercise/ movements to bring it on if they can't stop it before I leave the office.

Enjoy the last weekend of September.

Sometimes,

I needed to force myself to choose another project quickly or I wouldn't be stitching.  Sometimes has become always.  I have green fabric, thinking about doing this guy, again avoiding the full coverage (green background).

That gorgeous amethyst color I dyed on 40 count will be used for one of these pears, with pastel threads.  Until I change my mind, these three will be on strong colored fabric.

This is also considered, same thing, dark fabric and change to pastel threads.

You know I avoid borders and am only stitching smaller projects, so the center only is high on the list.

Question .... about selling charts.

I went back to previous posts and had very few interested in charts being given away, so selling?  The FB selling groups containing albums of charts (can't list each separately), seems to be a confusing task to message and invoice each request.  Instagram, a few at a time?  Or eBay where the buyer info is promptly listed for the seller?  Leaning toward eBay or IG.  Would prefer using 1st class postage instead of much higher tracking $$$, not recommended? Suggestions from those who have done this please!

We had rain for two days.  Finally.

Have a good day.

40 count dyed, dmc, face 471 and 580, border changed to black/ecru/351.

Soon!

Just the border left.

I made the hat's brim thicker, changed the left side eye color, slightly changed the green of her face (471+ 580).

Have a good day, be safe.
