Finally

If you look at the prior post, you'll see his big eye on his fat head is down too far by two rows.  I counted from the orange instead of the black.  Until the other eye was stitched and fill in began, I didn't realize the error.  All removed, started over.  Then I confused the symbols and had the wrong colors, more do-overs.  But I have caught every offending stitch since.  Most all were over one or three linen threads, not two.

Have I finally turned the corner?

For now

I have decided to complete the trio.  With all the errors I've been dealing with, a marking sampler with basic alphabet was my intention.  But when pulling fabric, this little piece of Water Lily was in the mess, and I took it as a sign.

These characters have jinxed my stitching, totally, and I need to break the curse before moving on.  This fat head's simple outline was off by one.  How long did it take to find the error?  Too long.  But I did, because the facial features would have required adjusting.  I found it!  The curse is lifting.

Enjoy your weekend.

2025 Finish #23

 I'm done.  I think.

So very many errors.  The background pattern would not be a problem, but I think I need to set him aside for now.

Halloween Cat
Twin Peak Primitives

Finish will be black or rust mini poms.  Purchased online several times, thought they are all the same.  They are not.  I want tight minis that can be removed from the flange.

It's October.

Hope I don't get dizzy from shaking my head.

Marching orders

In a search of the darling little sampler AWE from HATS, this info popped up.

"Hands Across the Sea" is a notable march composed by John Philip Sousa in 1899It is often associated with the phrase "AWE" because it is a standard piece of literature for American Wind Ensembles and bands.

How 'bout that?  Marching orders!

Maybe I'll listen to this during the many frogging sessions for motivation.

Testing was a few movements that were not uncomfortable in any way.  Imbalance of the ear crystals is not the cause of my decades of vertigo, and why additional testing was not done.  Could be genetic since siblings also have this.  Arterial, inner ear, labyrinth, meniere's and a few other possibilities could be the cause, none can be defined and treated.  So continue knocking myself out with meclizine or dramamine until it passes.  Any of the four known positions to reposition crystals will not help, may even cause an imbalance.  Done.

Guess how many times I had to change his mouth?  Counted again and again, numbers correct but tooth positions weren't.  Removed it all several times.  I gave up and worked the teeth only, added the surrounding stitches after, not all correct but worked out.  Sometimes not being able to locate errors is more frustrating than the errors!

I need to return to alphabets.

Enjoy your day.
