What the heck am I doing?

Good day to you all.  Just wanted to let you know that I am still
stitching, just not very much!  Took my brace off last week and there is no difference.  When I hold something or turn it a certain way, pain radiates toward the elbow slowly, right after distorting my face enough to pull back a jowl.

So this is where I am with Mary.  Looking at it, I don't understand why none of the darker blues looked good to me.
Maybe it was one of those weeks where no matter what I do, I'm not satisfied.  Regardless, I'm leaving this lighter blue.  But tomorrow starts a new week so .....

And this is what has been taking up a lot of my time.  Talk about not being satisfied.  Some times I will print the same label over 10 times because I don't like the tone of the linen and I try to get all in a set to be the same hue.  My sister can't figure out how we are sisters ~  exact opposites.  You can see how much stock and ink I use!!   I really haven't had a lot of time to check on blogs so I need to do some catch up.  This new Blogger dashboard is a pain and I can't see as many at one time as I used to.
We went into Volant on our way to Grove City outlets and I stopped at the antique shop.  Last time I was there and bought the nasty cabinet, I left behind two sweet little rolling pins.  Only one was left.  It's only 1 1/2" wide, and I brought home this very small divided box and cream can, too.

Finally, I put up the Halloween tree.  Our pin oak provided a wonderfully craggy limb one year that I sprayed black and decorated and liked it much better than this one.
Thanks for the kind thoughts about my leg surgery.  It's really nothing - local anesthesia and a little scary whenever they go into the veins, but I'm more concerned about the 40 minute car ride!  I am always white knuckled on the road because of my neck condition and fear of an accident.  My sister is driving me so my preaching and her arguing should make it go pretty quick.  As for the giveaway, to answer some emails, you get all 4 bags.  They are from Pat Catan's since Hobby Lobby and Michaels have none that I found.   This week will be busy so how about a Friday night (28th) drawing at 8 pm.  If you didn't state in your comment that you want the bells, please do so.  Just click on the offer's photo at the top, and let me know in the comments.
That's all for now.  I have a mess to clean up and chocolate to eat.  Guess which one is a sure thing.
Once again, I appreciate your visit and I thank you.
Have a great start to the last week of September.
That was very painful to type.  I'm still mourning the end of August.

Well I love your Halloween tree! Love the rolling pin and little box and cream tin too. I think the boxes you've made look great -- sounds like you're the perfectionist type for sure. Mary looks good too IMO. Sorry about your wrist. :( Such a bummer. I saw a wrist brace at the grocery the other day - much simpler, just a sort of elastic sleeve. But it might not support as much. Let me know if you're interested and I could always get it and send it along.

Mary, your halloween tree and the boxes all look wonderful--as always. It seems you are your own toughest critic--the rest of us are drooling over everything you do! Good luck with the leg surgery and with the drive/being a patient passenger.

Yikes....looks like I've missed important stuff again. Leg surgery? What the heck?? (Yeah, I'll read down and catch up....) And what, exactly, is wrong with those labels on the table??? They don't match the others in the set??? Ok....I can breathe. I finally found someone more perfectionistic than me.

Love the sweet lil' rolling pin....and your Halloween tree. Ahhhh....this is paining me so not to do my full-blown Halloween decorating, but I just can't....And even what I sneak up on my laundry trips is going to be hard to get put away. How did life get so chaotic???

Bummer about your wrist....Where do you go from here???

Marly, good luck with your leg "redo" and your wrist healing, too....that needs to heal real quick cuz you need that wrist to do things while you're in the prone while the leg rests! The boxes look wonderful!

Oh Marly. I am so sorry that you had to break down and put Up the Halloween tree. It is really fabulous.
I am hoping that you have some relief soon with your wrist and leg. I am sending well wishes your way.
Have a piece of chocolate for me.
The boxes are amazing!!!

Wonderful boxes, wonderful antique shop finds, but so sorry to hear the wrist is still causing problems. I assume you will be making a visit to the local medicine mane to get it checked again? Good luck with the mini surgery.

Good morning Marly - wow you have been
I do think you are right in line with most of us who 'create' - we seem to never be satisfied and do lot's of re-do's - at least I do. So don't fret, you aren't alone.
Super antique shopping finds.
Oh I pray for fast healing for you - sounds like you hurt from top to bottom.

You and your wrist are in my prayers Marly. Speaking of chocolate, I just polished off a handful of 60% cacao bittersweet chocolate chips. GHIRARDELLI!! mmmm! yum yum! That's how I get my daily fix. With chocolate chips. ;)

Drooling over all those boxes and labels. I agree though about the new Blogger being a real pain. Why did they have to go and mess around with a good thing?

Oh, what a wonderful sight to see all those boxes lined up, Marly!! They are just delightful--as is that pin oak tree!! What a great idea. Do you have it anchored in the pot with sand?

Hope your surgery went well (along with the car ride!) and that you survived the 40 minute drive with your sister :)
