Hi everyone. The wind is howling, the brats are in their condo, and my wind chimes are singing. But no snow!!! Lots of errands to run today but thought I would show you what my husband came home with. He heard me mention several times, the magnitude and my amazement of The Manifesto from Scarlet Letter. Here's what I usually use...
3" FLOSS RINGS -
His gift to me -
MANIFESTO SIZE FLOSS RING -
I could never attempt a project of that size, so I'll probably use it as a towel ring.
Have a good day!

Very clever idea but large, right?
You just gave me some finish ideas!
You will need that size ring for all the floss that is needed!
I have my floss for The Manifesto in floss-a-way bags...my ring is a 12 inch strip of twist tie!

Gosh, your DH is hilarious!...although, maybe not. That is one big sampler!
Sometimes a girl needs a large ring for the endless floss we seem to gather Lol, but love your small ones!
Keep warm and safe!
How funny! With 101 skeins of floss needed for the Manifesto that might just work! LOL
A bit large, I agree, but you have a sweet husband.

lol! That is one big floss ring! I'm trying not to think of how to store the floss for Manifesto. lolol! Love your 3" rings though -- and that basket!
I'm one of those crazy people doing the Manifesto. I haven't even put the threads into the floss away bags yet, but I can imagine that I'm going to need a large ring or two!!
Ha ha--now that is one thoughtful husband :) Love your little floss rings, though, Marly. Are those prints of your stitching and then you decoupage them on to wood or what? Very nice idea!
Where did he find the huge floss ring? Your little floss rings are really neat. Did you create them? If yes, how?

LOVE the ring and thoughtfulness!! MJ
Sweet thought :)
tee hee! At least he goes along with it.
I would be embarassed to tell you
how many of the large floss rings I have, completely jammed with Floss-Away bags....I have project ones (since I'm the Queen of WIP's), I have one for Au ver a Soie, I have one for NPI, I have one for Weeks, Gentle Arts Sampler Threads, etc., etc., etc. By the time you get to be 76, you accumulate lots of needlework stuff!! Love the small ring tags...as I've said before, you are so clever!!
Wow Marly what a wonderful idea. From what I'm hearing about the Manifesto I think that you might need a ring this size. I think that it's a very thoughtful present. Love yur smaller ones. Did you make those. They are lovely. - Sandra.
Oh gosh, what hardware store did he pick that up from? That's cool! I really like your little ones too. Believe it or not, I put my threads in individual little bags and then put all those bags in one of the boxes I bought from you. When I start a new chart, it's out with the old and in with the new!
~hugs
MEE TOO ... I am curious, Did you make the smaller ones? Silly question..of course you did amazing one.
Hubs has a terrific sense of humor.
Thoughtful at least, sweet small, Francine.
I'm right there with ya sista!!

Yes a bit large.
I love your small ones. Did you make them, they are very lovely!
have a great week, Evelyne
Now THAT'S a thoughful husband who really pays attention to you!
Hugs,
Susan
WOW!!
A husband with good intentions!
You have a great guy there!
What a great husband, he thinks BIG, hugs.
Wow, that's a really big floss ring. I've never seen one like this - and I have never started a project where I needed such a big one, lol. Oh no, wait, my flosses for Houses of Hawk Run Hollow are in a big wooden box, so such a floss ring might be suiitable for them, lol.
OMGosh ...Manifesto is too much of a challenge for me. I am to slow and I will surely need another lifetime just for it.
LUV the small key rings you made ... They would be perfect for small projects like the ones I do.
Blessings be and Peace too,
Barb
Love the floss rings !

A very sweet & thoughtful man : )
Marly - Give yourself a break. The world will not come crashing down if you do not have another pear ready every month. You are appreciated for what you share and what you can do. And I should tell you, I love and look forward to your pears, but I can certainly wait until you also can enjoy working on them. ...jan
