Some progress is better than none

Hi everyone.  Hope your week started off great!  First off, I added two Ewe & Eye house designs, Goode Huswife's Sibley Hall, and Notforgotten's Halloween Queen to the Ebay offer.  I happened to find them in another file and the other charts I wanted to sell are still MIA.  Both winners of my kit giveaway have received them and were kind enough to let me know that they are pleased.  Thank you both!  Don't forget about Ann's basket drawing this Friday.
Eliza's house is completed except for the roof fill and I think I will use the 632 color as recommended.  I'm glad I changed the house to the darker yellow instead of the 3046 that you see in the eyelet and rice stitch border.

Satin stitched flowers on vines will be next and I'm hoping it goes fast.   Choosing the next project should be considered now since it will take me a while to decide.  Ed is coming Monday (finally) to start installing the floor but he is so busy, I doubt that he will be able to make the corner cupboard/pantry that I want.  Haven't heard back from kitchen guy but I've made a decision on the re-do.  I have no intentions to spend upwards of 20 grand for a kitchen that will be almost what I have now.   I contacted my cabinet manufacturer and they will ship the cupboard doors to me, to my specs, and I will have the cabinet boxes made.
We had torrential rains again last night and I think our garden will be a bust this year.  One of the reasons, is the gang of four.

They have never eaten tomato plants before, but hoof prints don't lie.  They seem to enjoy the jalapeno plants too.  I hate it when animals in my yard have bigger racks than I do.
The sun is coming out but I still can't sit outside because our furniture is soaked and hasn't been able to dry out with the humidity.  I'll do my 15 minutes of stitching and half hour breaks indoors with a bag of Dove chocolate to wash down the Advil.
Thanks for visiting - enjoy your day - stay safe.

Hi Marly, the house is so beautiful and I also agree, so are the deer, Blessings Francine.

I'm loving the jugs and pears in your banner. (And I hate it when other people have bigger jugs than I do--hahahahah!) Poor Skinny Limper. My garden is suffering the same fate as yours--the downpours. It's soggy, buggy and full of critters eating their fill.

Sweet deers..I love than all x

Too funny how you name your deer (dear?) visitors, Marly! We have newborn twins in our backyard just waiting to devour our plants. Luckily, the vegetable garden is fenced in, but we get an occasional fence jumper.

Your sampler is coming along beautifully--great change on the colors.

Marly, I have never heard of a prescription of "a bag of Dove chocolates to wash down with Advil" - that's too funny! What's not funny though is that you are hurting! I hope you feel better soon.

Your sampler is looking gorgeous. That's a lovely yellow for the house.

I have to say we don't have deer. It seems like you have a herd of them and that must be frustrating for a gardener!

Take care!

The sampler looks superb Marly.
I have to say Skinny Limper has the same physique as Henry. ;)

I do love that sampler. I have always loved a red house but that color is making me wonder. Those bad deer. I know what they can do!!After "getting old" I moved to the Pacific NW to be cool. Tomorrow we head to Alabama to see the new little Granddaughter. I am afraid I will simply melt!!

Eliza is looking elegant and I LUV the yellow for a change too. Your progress puts mine to shame. How lucky you are to have such wonderful guests. They are so entertaining and beautiful.
Blessings to all, Barb

Eliza is so gorgeous! Wow! I also love your header pic. Wonderful! Bummer about the deer eating your garden. :( Isn't the humidity and rain awful? Ew.

Your comment about the rack made me giggle :) Love your progress! We've had the high humidity too, but the heavy rain that was forecast didn't happen. Hope you feel better soon. I'm dealing with neck/shoulder issues that cause the numbness and pain too. Can't sit at a table or desk or lay in bed.

Gorgeous progress. The house looks fabulous.
So sorry to hear that your garden is being eaten. I picked some small grape tomatoes the other night and left them in a bowl on the kitchen table, came home to an empty bowl and chewed up tomatoes on the floor...Thanks Binx. :(

Eliza is just gorgeous Marly, I do like the house in yellow.
Oh the deer are lovely, but having them myself in the garden I do despair at what they have pruned when I get up in the morning. Yes they do like tomato plants I am sure LOL.
Have a fabulous weekend:)

Love the house color! The gang of four definitely look like they could make short work of a garden. :)

Marly,

Hang a bar of Lava soap somewhere near the tomato plants. My mom used to tell me that it keeps the deer away.

Lovely house.
