Greetings. I'm in the process of finishing some tags and can't decide how to offer them. Do I list the labels and have you choose, then complete them? Do I complete a variety and what you see is what you get? Do I offer the old with the new which is WAY too many choices? Do I limit the folk art because it's not what you would want? Do I consider Halloween and Christmas tags? Do I have a problem with chocolate? I threw that in there because I wanted to be able to answer at least one query.
But first, I may be closer to finding the Santa charts because this little ditty showed up. It's a darling little Christmas cardinal, only 1 1/2" x 3 1/4" inches on 32 count and I started working on it until I make a sampler decision. Put a rusty star on it and it's always a favorite.
My husband is off today and getting in my way. Good grief he'll be retiring soon. I told him to start making new friends and taking up new hobbies. My hips are big enough without another person being attached to them.
Here's the new house tags. A little fussy for my taste.
The folk art offers.
And holiday?
Here he comes again. I need to find a project that isn't so involved it makes him balk, or so simple that it requires little time, or anything that needs a helper. I'm going to hide out in the sewing room.
Thanks for visiting!

I think they're all nice, and which ever way you decide to do it I'm sure they'll find homes. My husband retired almost 2 years ago, quite a bit earlier than expected. It drives me nuts - well, perhaps I should say nuttier than I already am. Uninterrupted time is out the window - think toddler! If you have any say in the matter keep him in the workforce as long as you can, because when he retires you'll want to go out to work. Yes, I do love him, but enough is enough!
Oh you must give him a iron and a vacuum cleaner let him do some housework and tell him that this is what he will have to do for the rest of his live if he does not find a hobby and let you enjoy yours! LOL!
Love the new tags and the houses are just to cute!
Hugs

Although the house tags are "fussy", I like them best.
I am a cardinal lover. Your little guy is sweet!
All is quiet in the house now because Masterchief is napping.
I take that back. I can hear him snoring clear from the other end of the house!
Just found two more things we have in common (see previous post's comments regarding hair).... chocolate and husbands being underfoot!! Mine is not retired yet, but he is still in my way every chance he gets. The worst is in the store should I stop suddenly to look at something, he runs right into the back of me. I tell him to go find something to look at, and get out of my space! :)
I really like all your tags, but think the folk art ones are quite nice! I have a couple of those prints hanging in my house.... I also love the cardinal!! Very pretty!!
I know a woman who assigned her husband a hobby, since he seemed incapable of finding his own. She signed him up for a plot in a community garden. (Better than signing him up for a plot in the cemetery). It has been a difficult year for gardening, so he has been busy. Now she has to find him something for the winter months.
p.s. I love the house tags. And you certainly do not have a problem with chocolate.
I LOVE all your tags, but the houses are my faves. The cardinal is wonderful!!
I love all your tags too but I so much love the girls :)
Hugs x
Whatever you choose is fine by me, Yes to chocolate ! You are too funny-) Yes the retirement problem, get him interested in motorbikes and he will be in the garage all day, mine is;))
Have a good weekend (both of you);)
Good luck on the hiding out... Your post made me laugh. We're a few years away from retirement yet, so no worries from me at this point. LOL.
OMG I loved the "hip" comment. I plan on using that one in the future..
They are all beautiful, unfortunately, that doesn't help you much. I would absolutely LOVE holiday tags, especially Halloween. I must also confess, I have a big problem with chocolate, as a matter of fact, I just polished off a piece a moment ago!
One of my jobs in life is thinking of projects for my retired DH. Many people think I am lucky but it does become a burden at times.Good luck!!!
lol! Yes, it's hard when the hubs is under foot. :D I know that feeling. I hope when DH retires, you are able to deal with it. Love your new tags -- especially the house ones. :D As for how to offer them -- gosh, that's hard. I would want to be able to choose a specific one myself.
Absolutely love the witch! Houses, too, .....oh, and Santas!
Love your new start, and love all the tags.
My Dh gave up work last year , it was great at first but such a life changing time , First he was doing all the housework saying this is how it should be done !
At last he now has become a counsellor and loves it .
So I have most of my time back again bless him.
All the tags look great, Marly! Love that cardinal pillow, it is the sweetest. Every time I see a cardinal it reminds me of my grandmother as it was her favorite bird. Enjoy your day!
Love the little cardinal projects. The tags are looking great. good luck with diverting the husband :)
I'm glad you're getting closer to your Christmas stitching. Your little cardinal is precious.
Just a word consolation------Enjoy your husband while you have him. I know retirement will change both of your lives a great deal. But, you would miss him terribly if you didn't have him at all. I know !
I have a "thing" for houses and Halloween.
I'm loving my pear every time I look at it.
Enjoy your day.

My husband retired 5 years ago. I'm still not used to him being here all the time!
Okay, I need to know...where do you find all the great sampler patterns you have ???? LOVE the tags...especially the early portrait ones. BTW, love the haircut.
Can't believe I just saw my "Merry Cardinal" on your post. Made my morning. Certainly a lot quicker than Lucy Redd. LOL Love all your tags. ~My husband retired 10+ years ago at a very early age. Did not live up to his promise to find something else to do. He loves being retired. I have lots a things to say about it, but not enough time to type it all. Needless to say, I have put him to work helping with Homespun Elegance. He never complains, thank goodness.
You crack me up Marly; my DH is retiring in 3 years and I'm already having a panic attack about it! Love the folk art tags and the holiday witch is wonderful. Cute cardinal, have to go on a hunt for that pattern. And you do NOT have a problem with chocolate 'cause chocolate in whatever quantity is never a problem, just an opportunity! Love the new 'do' and glad to hear your foot is better. Deb
Nope! No problem with chocolate. You have the most excellent taste, my dear. Dove Dark is exactly my favorite too. ;)
Wow--can't believe Sandra Sullivan commented about her chart! Cool! I like the house tags! And chocolate is good at any time, for any reason! Catching up on blogs this week for sure! Love ya! Hugs!
