Leave 'em in the dust

Hey.  What's happening in your world?  Good stuff I hope.  My drywall guy showed up early morning, not planned, but I invited him in to sand.  Since I wasn't prepared, nothing was covered and I scrambled to move things out of his way and try to throw sheets.  This new "less dust" formula for drywall is ... well....
weird.  Microfiber cloths, Swiffer cloths, vacuum hoses, nothing seems to work to pick it up.  It just moves around like being pushed out of the way.  I had to do the floors with a wet cloth and white swirl marks plus a haze are left.  It did carry into the other rooms which it claims it won't do.
I worked on a few new labels and what's her name.  One band is a chain stitch and I needed to go back to Needle 'n Thread for a review.  Was it the stitch I was doing?  Yep.  Happy happy.  Her post today is about the Puffin & Co. thread separator and I'm glad she showed how to use it!  I love their pieces and would probably put it on a chain as jewelry.
Now for Blogger.  What am I doing wrong?  When I want to learn more about new followers and see if they have a blog, I click on their icon in the Followers box.  Some times I am taken to Google + and can't see anything about the person, or I see their profile and can send a message but there's no other links.  When I clicked on what I thought was their blog in one profile, I was blasted with porn.  Took forever to remove it all so I am leery of doing that again.  So what's a girl to do?
Today will be a day of rest for the neck and hopefully close in on a finish of what's her name.  My sister needs a ride and I told her to take my car since I don't want to waste this sunshine in a parking lot.  I think I may have to pay the big bill for her car repairs so I guess getting boxes ready for sale would be a better idea.  But I have a friend waiting for me, and don't want to disappoint.
This morning I made the short drive to the cemetery, washed the granite,  placed the new silk mums, and lit the candle.  It's their anniversary.
I went back to last September's posts and saw that I did decorate for fall early.  I think the mums and pumpkins looked nice!  But I'm still upset about the end of summer so maybe just cornstalks this year.  Depends on the mood.
That's all I got.  Worn out, dusty, and lazy.
I hope your hump day is filled with sunshine, whether from the sky or your heart.
Thanks for visiting!

That's a lucky kitty to be enjoying your swing. The flag and wind chimes make a beautiful scene.
I hope it's breezy in your yard today so you can hear the beautiful sound the chimes make..
I know your Mom and Dad are smiling at the sweet and thoughtful daughter they have..
Happy Wednesday,

Oh that dust! Ewww. How unfortunate. With the names on comments, I get emails of comments, and can usually click on the name from there to get the profile. I think I've seen one person whose google plus page comes up instead. Maybe that just means the person doesn't have any blogs or other profile page??

There's thin yellow cloths that you stretch to activate and use wet/dry, can be washed and used over many times, they are AMAZING on dust and silt. Commercial/professional cleaners use them after a fire to clean up extinguisher dust, etc. Sorry don't know the name, maybe you can call Serv-Pro locally and ask them.

found my note, they're called Masslinn cloths...

Such a nice thing to do for your family graves I absolutely HATE drywall dust. It is awful stuff. I sure hope some of the previous suggestions work for you!

I agree with all the lovely comments above. Hey, what is a gal to do who does not have a blog and the email address that comes up when I post is never used

At this time I d not blog. Still recuperating from ruptured tendon and very distressed and impatient knowing after 10 weeks it may be 10 more weeks before I start running up and down stairs again. I wish I were more technically inclined. I

I adore this blog!

Phew! It almost wouldn't let me comment again! But I have a workaround... It's funny the way we remember some dates. A friend at my work has the same first and middle name as the youngest daughter of my favorite cousin. AND, her birthday is the same as my mom! Plus she is a Niners fan and likes ladybugs! We will be fast friends forever!! By now, you have figured out how to beat the fine dust you had everywhere, I am sure! Soon, you WILL be in control of your entire home! Wish you were closer, cause my hubby would have had all the work done MUCH faster! Hugs!

You have been much more gracious throughout your remodeling project than I would have been! It's probably a good thing I haven't been through a major one. I sure don't envy you that drywall dust . . . hope you can find something with which to clean it up.

I, too, am not happy about the end of summer. But then, I've spent mine recovering from surgery. Still, time goes by way too fast. I dread the thought of another winter.
