Project Portfolio

Hello hello hello.  Squeak was here!  I stayed in bed a little longer this morning and Mark came back in to tell me that he was here.  He fed him two cans of food and off he went!  He looked good and I hope he comes back tomorrow.

Trying to organize the linen mess and everything else stitching related, I came across this Project Portfolio by Courtney Creek.  What a well made organizer.  I checked online and couldn't find the company so maybe they are no longer.  Here's what this heavy nylon piece looks like inside.

Pockets on the inside, pockets under pockets, zippered and not....

Plush spot for glasses with Velcro closure, little needle pocket...

Heavy clear zippered pouches for seeing your projects....

Pockets on the outside too and thick enough to hold a lot.

You probably have one and this is nothing new but I'm really impressed with it.  It was buried in the back of the hutch and every time I pull it out I get excited all over again.  Do I use it?  Nope.

This little thimble holder is new to me.  Found it on the floor when pulling supplies out so it was hidden in something.  I did not make this.  Sweet, padded, holding a painted thimble.

And then the mail came.  YAY!!  Look at my gorgeous wools!  I would like to try wool applique and also a few Christmas items so I placed an order and I can't wait to get more.  Even if it just sits there with all the other fabric and is never used, I WANT IT.  Rose (Three Sheep Studio) and of course, Rebekah Smith, make me swoon with their work.

Feeling better today and the doc appointment went well.  Mark wheeled her up the ramps since I visited the chiropractor the other day to help with my back.  She is anxious to get this over with and start feeling better.

Have a great weekend everyone.
Thanks for visiting.

What a fabulous selection of wools you purchased, Marly! I think that project organizer is very cool. Thanks for sharing pictures with us; I wasn't familiar with it at all. Very happy to hear that Squeak was back.

Squeak must have found a place to stay warm and cozy.. He's a lucky kitty to have a home to go to for something to eat.. I'm so happy that Mark saw him and fed him.
I'm glad that you're feeling better and that Carole's doctor visit went okay.
I bought a Magma and I love it. The little magnets hold my scissors, needle and thread and the magma doesn't slip off of my lap.
The zippered bag that you found looks a nice thing to have. I'm all for keeping things together..
Your wool is beautiful. Will be waiting to see your applique work.
Stay well now !
Have a great weekend.

It is so good to hear things are going better for you and I am so happy Squeak came back for some food and to let you know he is okay, what a relief. Now to get some positive things happening for your sister and life will be a lot less stressful for you.

Always fun to find things that were hidden away for years.... Happens here from time to time and I can't believe I forgot about them!

So glad to hear the appointment went well. God bless Mark for pitching in when you cannot. I want to try applique also, both wool and other fabrics. I did one little thing in 2013 and TRIED a piece in 2014--it did not work out, but the applique was fine (binding did not work out). There's always tomorrow!Or next week... or.... It is good Squeak came back around. Maybe after such a good meal, he will remember more often or stay again! Hugs!

So glad to hear that your sister is feeling better. Could Squeak be hanging around another home too? Is someone messing with your Squeak??!! Just a thought! Silly cats, they don't always do what we want them to do.
I love wool applique! Be careful, wool can be addicting...

I have considered wool applique for a month or so now. I just discovered Rebekah Smith a week or so ago. I'm swooning right along with you, Marly. Because I have just begun a quilting journey wool applique sits on a waiting list. Her upcoming book has been bookmarked, yet not forgotten.
