Brain freezes are not always caused by cold drinks and ice cream. And as much as I would like to blame menopause, men are affected too. My husband went golfing with his shirt inside out the other day. I always hang his golf shirts inside out to avoid the pointed shoulders, he knows this, but I can't say too much.
I took my sister to the doctor like this. Not too noticeable, but still obvious to patients in waiting rooms that stare down at the floor. I was trying to determine which felt better on my still swollen foot and just forgot to change the other (I've had enough of the big shoe).
And get this - the Latitude device that sends her pacemaker signals for monitoring since she is totally dependent on it, was the wrong one. No info, no help if something was malfunctioning. They finally realized it after months and we picked up the compatible unit today.
Since I was driving, she didn't notice the shiny metal in my hair until we got in the exam room and I was on her right. This is how a selfie reenactment looks when you don't have a smart phone. Didn't want to leave out the crooked fingers. I had a few 4" curved wave clips to hold my hair back until it dried that kind of got lost in the mess. Would have much preferred a brain freeze from ice cream. Or Arby's orange cream shake - out of this world good.
I started working on Sally again. When I mentioned to Patti that I was losing interest and maybe would stop stitching for a while, she said NOOOO! Don't stop! So I will continue this big girl.
Bonnie Olson sent photos of her over one 32 count Memory Keeper and said it was OK to share with you. If it would actually help me keep my memory, I would stitch it over one on 40 count! But of course it won't.
The design is by Workbasket and her finish is 6 1/2" square instead of 12" or 13" over two. Very nice either way but I am liking the smaller finishes more and more.

For the Love chart offer, I just printed names on paper and drew one since I didn't need Random to help. Dede's name was drawn and I will notify her shortly. Thanks to everyone for participating.

This one is unknown but it gets tall with a nice top spread, allowing lots of room beneath for annuals. Or bazillions of maple whirlygighickeys.

I so love to read your posts! I am happy to know that I am not the only one who has worn two different shoes at the same time. And not only did I wear them once, I wore them twice! LOL I would have never known except I got my feet wet, took them off and turned them upside down to dry. My first thought was...when did they start making the bottoms of the left and right shoes different? Maybe to make it easier for old people? LOL At least they were both black shoes.
And your stitching is absolutely beautiful! I agree with Patti, keep on! Your hostas are amazing...mine are tiny compared to your beauties.

My sweet husband is color blind. When he was a young lawyer he had two pairs of Weejuns (loafers) one cordovan, one black. Can you see where this is going? He called to tell me and I told him he had another pair just like that in the closet. Luckily, he didn't have to be in court that day! Your hostas are so beautiful! How I wish they would grow down here! Keep going with the stitching, it's looking good. Love the memory keeper!

Well, gotta say Girlfriend....you even do mismatched shoes in style. They look eerily similar.... I'm not quite so "subtle" when I have that kind of brain freeze. And your hostas are all kinds of amazing!!! Wowsers! I have a landscape design right now done in early bulldozer...followed by septic and garage move residue. Ugh. What kind of liner is that in your petunia barrel?? I've had so many holes drilled in the bottom of mine...and line it with styrofoam and rocks for drainage, but I have still had flooding the past few years. So sorry to hear of your loss.... You are such a trend setter! We will all be following your example sometime! LOL The older I have gotten the harder it is to tell black from navy blue. Socks can be so difficult.
Love Hostas--I have several varieties and will be looking for Blue Angel to add. And wow the petunias! I decided not to plant any extra flowers this year and try to reclaim my flowers. Brome grass has been brought in by birds and I am having a difficutl time reclaiming between it and bind weed I may not survive.

I too have a hard time at funerals anymore--I want to get in and get out before the flood gates open. So very hard to say good bye to friends. But the memories will carry you thru!

When I looked at your feet picture, I honestly thought how pretty your toes were and figured you just had to wear a different sandal due to your surgery!!

I have done that. Drove the 2 hour trip yo yo out to lunch with my Father and Sister. Didn't notice that I had odd shoes on until I was getting out of the car. Scored a new pair of shoes off my Sister :). She pays a lot of money for her shoes so I was laughing.

lol -- I see that DH is like the rest of us -- wearing shirts inside out, wearing mismatched shoes. It's all familiar to this household! lol! I thought that was a special sandal accessory to hold the bandage in place. So it looked normal to me!. The hair thing again normal hair accessory too. Maybe it's me.

Now - the hair...I LOVE IT...I used to wear my hair like that about 12 years back - loved it but being my hair is short now I soooo dislike the growing out process to get it like that.
Adorable shoe photos - I would say the shoe on the bad foot would feel the best - looks like more ball of the foot support and across the toes - was/is it???
I have a small Bubble Gum Petunia and hope it gets as large as your someday soon but I don't give it much hope.
Oh man, I need to do that to my husbands shirts - if I don't get them on the padded type hangers there are nubs on the shoulders - I will have to do what you do, how smart!!

I did not notice the two different sandals... I just thought it was something about the bandage... Once I did get it, I sat here at my computer, laughing and laughing... (still chuckling now...) And THEN, the hair clips... Girl--you are the most entertaining blogger!! I like the look of over one, but... can't do it much. I can do over one on 25 and 28 count, but not 40, 36 or much 32. Hostas are one of my most favorite perennials and I have many different varieties -- all large. I'm always amazed at how big they get. Love your pink petunias too. Have you ever seen as many maple whirleygighickeys (we call them helicopters) as this year? At one point, we could barely see the grass there were so many on the ground. I didn't notice the two different sandals until you mentioned it, lol.
