Greetings all. I just love these Blue Angels so much that I will continue to bore you with them. I showed them on Saturday, this is Tuesday morning - they really sprout quickly.

These leaves aren't the only thing blue around here. I saw Ellen's post on Stitchville USA and got my email update from Country Sampler. Both places were to be visited with my cousin (home-ec teacher and sewing fanatic) when I visited her in MN. That was put off until we recouped from caregiving and all the losses. Unfortunately, her early dementia came before I did and she continues to progress in the facility. So when I saw the post, the special trip we would have had was another reminder of how she has lost herself. She traveled the world and experienced so much before this and we're so glad she didn't wait until retirement for those joys. And my friend Patti is slipping away. How helpless family and friends feel. She's always been private and not wanting Facebook pals and such to know so I don't mention her. But she has been consuming my thoughts for weeks. I finally went to the local antique mall that we both frequented, had not wanted to visit for a while. The sadness overwhelmed me. As soon as I walked in I felt it, and had no desire to shop. She and I both love early pieces and her talent for decorating with them is evident in her home.
Haven't picked up a needle either. I keep looking through charts, reading their instructions, browsing for more online, but the needle has stayed ..... I don't know where it is. Usually I keep it in the linen but because I started a second project and went back and forth, it's somewhere else. I'll find it. Maybe it's the excuse I'm using instead of getting a new needle - I do know where those are! Tonight I will force myself to get a row in.
Been visiting a doctor for a few months about the stomach and esophagus issues, was told last week - no more chocolate. Already had to give up iced tea which I drank throughout the day even though it was decaf. Good thing I hate the taste of booze.
Have a wonderful day stitching pals.
Thanks for visiting.

Those hostas are gorgeous! Love those big leaf varieties... wish I had some shade in my yard but I'd also have to contend with the deer. Sending prayers and positive thoughts for you and your cousin. Hugs!
Hello, Marly. Your hostas are absolutely gorgeous. I'm sorry about your not be able to have chocolate or iced tea. I hate the taste of booze too so that wouldn't be a problem for me..
Will be tasting the prep for my colonoscopy on the 2nd of June. ........would rather be doing anything else but that.
I really miss going to antique shops, flea markets, yard sales, etc. without my John. It's just not the same excitement.
Have finished two Americana charts and am on the third one. Don't know what I'll tackle after that.
Enjoy the weekend coming soon.
Weather is supposed to be wonderful.

Love your hostas Marly! We have one HUGE one in our front yard, but the others in the back aren't even half the size. It's the giant one I love. No chocolate? Yikes! I wonder why....Hoping you can squeeze into your sandles soon and prayers, as always, for you and your loved ones.
Those hostas are gorgeous, Marly! HUGE! I don't think I've ever seen such gloriously large, lush ones!
I am so very sorry, to read of the blues that seem to be surrounding you. It sometimes can be smothering, and you just don't know where to turn... as one of my favorite prayers says: To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve, to you do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears....
I will be praying for you and your loved ones.
Hi, Marly, I have some blue hostas also, but I don't know if they are the same type as your beautiful ones. It is very sad about your friend and relative with dementia, my Father suffered from that, and I know how very sad it is to watch them slip away. Hope you are back in a stitching mood soon,. :)

What no chocolate. Is that doctor nuts!
Gorgeous hosta! I have some too I brought from my Grandmas garden a few years back. The flower on them is so fragrant. They sure do grow and spread quickly. Really fill a huge spot.
Hugs Marg.
luv then blue hostas! wishing you wellness my friend. xo
Oh Marly. Sorry your dear friend still lingers in such horrid pain. I am praying.
Oh Marly, those Blue Hostas are gorgeous, love the look all together. ...sorry to hear about your friend and cousin will say a prayer for her.Blessings Francine.
Beautiful!
The hostas are great. I am so sorry to hear about your friends. I think that is one of the worst ways to go. I am going through much the same thing with my step-mom. So very sad!
Ugh life without chocolate? Guess you will have to find something else - Panna cotta? Sorry about your friend -getting older sucks.
They look beautiful...
Your hostas are lovely! They look beautiful by your home!
I'm sorry for all the health issues with you and your loved ones. Sometimes it seems like "everyone has a problem" and that must be how it is now. Time and prayer will take care of it....saying prayers for you all and wishing the very best!
Marly I am so sorry about your friends. It hurts us more to see friends departing than if it was we ourselves I think. I'm serving at a mission right now and we have a lady here this week who is also in the beginning stage of dementia. Unfortunately her daughter, who is with her, is in denial about this. Others on her team are helping to watch after Ms. F but we all worry about her daughter as well. When she finally comes to terms with this it will be hard. I love your hostas. When I get home in about 10 days the first thing on my agenda is searching for some like yours, or some similar ones that are large. I had hostas under a tree for a while but they've died away over time. blessings, marlene
Love Hostas. I should buy some and plant them at the front of our home. That would be perfect. Thanks for showing us yours. Pxxx
Your hostas are "the bomb" - wow ! Gorgeous !
No Chocolate ??! Ouch !

Beautiful hostas Marly!!!!
Love those hostas...I have plans to add some here...sooner or later...it is a never ending sorrow to love those with dementia...to see their faces and know what they've lost...
as for chocolate...you have my deepest sympathy...it's life sustaining
Wow, wich kind of green thumb do you have! Your hostas are fantastic - and I love the blue green colour. Have some in my garden too but not sooooo beautiful than yours!!!
All my best and happy days
Elisabeth
I love your beautiful hostas; the blue ones are my favorite too. Thanks for sharing the photos. I find that looking at my patterns and started project will help me when I am in a stitching slump; it seems to get me inspired again, so hang in there!
Your plants are stunning! Yea..I'm just coming out of my non-stitching period. Starting slow with the small ones though. Hope you you begin again.
Love those hostas too... I will be getting some from my daughter's new home in the fall. She NEEDS to 'thin' them out! I am sorry about your friends with dementia. Such an awful disease. I will just keep you in mind when I pray, for physical healing from your surgery and for inspiration to get back to doing what you like. No chocolate??? Is he nuts?!?
