Hello people. One week from today Christmas will be over. It's like planning for a wedding. The unending lists, the baking, the gift buying, the plans, the decorations, the guest list, for what seems like an eternity and then POOF..... it's over in a day. But the spirit and good feelings of the season start before the day and continue after.
Today, Saturday, while munching on garlic bologna and chocolate, my husband is tearing apart another room and washing walls and floors. This is why his pant number stays the same and mine continues to increase. I previously mentioned the so-called skinny jeans.

I haven't finished my patriotic Santa, don't know if I will. Still haven't crawled out of my slump, but would like to start this little simple sampler. Sally Fiske is still waiting to be completed and I'm so close! Maybe I will try to do one half hour a day.
Carole is still not up to par but much better. I was happy to find this gigantic pill box at the Dollar Store for my chewable gummy vitamins and CoQ10. They fit, but they dry out in a few days and are like chewing on a tire. I so envy people that can swallow pills.
We made Harvest Soup and Split Pea with smoked ham hocks, both were very good. But here I sit with garlic bologna and chocolate. Yes I'm weird. Maybe that's why I lost followers.
So I will be back Sunday with the pony box winner. I guess I should start entering the names today and just keep the page open to add more as needed. If you can't leave a comment, please email me (link at top right) to be added. Until then, enjoy your weekend and stay safe.
Thanks for visiting.

I love your frankness and would love to be drawn for anything your giving away . Merry Christmas and I too will be glad when it's over.
I completely understand the struggle of trying to find jeans that are long. I too have really long legs, but sadly am short waisted. Have you ever tried NYDJ (not your daughters jeans)? Their "long" length jeans are almost too long!
I am sure in your new jeans, new top, and fashionable boots you will look great. :-)
Enjoy the holiday.
Marly, you're very entertaining and I always enjoy reading your blog posts.
Interestingly, I have just lost several followers, too - and that makes me wonder if Google is playing games again. lol
This the season so you just indulge ....
Merry Christmas to you and yours.
I have never tried skinny jeans. I think it would be too scary!!!
I thought you were plugging candy in a pill box. ;)
I'll have to check and try to find some of those skinny jeans. Yep, a looong sweater and boots. I tried it for the first time last year and kind of like it, but have a hard time finding sweaters I consider long enough :)
Sure wish I had someone to clean for me.
Hugs :)
Lauren
Marly, Merry Christmas! Wishing you and your loved ones a peaceful, joyful, and blessed Christmas season. Thank you for your wonderful blog. SAH
So you found some skinny jeans you like, huh? Lees are the brand that fit me best. I tried some Lee skinnies and didn't like them. I don't know. I'm having a hard time with jeans these days. I want skinny down at the bottom, but not super skinny. Ugh. Oh, and I'm short -- I have to go for petite, which is also hard to find at the stores.
Wear the jeans with chin up! Your smile will make the rest of you beautiful! We are women and we have all kinds of curves in all kinds of places and it's our history, our road map of where we have been. It's what comes out of our heart that determines beauty not body shape and you my dear, have a heart as big as the planet so nobody has anything on you!! WE all love you exactly for who you are and most of us have no clue what you look like!(and don't care what you look like) Go sway that booty girl!! I work at the YMCA and I see every kind of body and health issue and the members that are the most liked do not have the best bodies...of course not, they have the chocolate! Have a wonderful Christmas and may everything you hope for be yours in 2016. Krissy B.
I like Lee jeans too. Glad Carole is better. Love that little sampler. Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.

I would love the box with the horses. I just got my little box I ordered from you last week, it has a yellow house on it, I LOVE it. It's perfect to put on a shelf or on a smaller display. I highly recommend your boxes and oh, so prim too. I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful, healthy New Year.
Glad to hear Carole is a little better so you can go for hunting a new sweater for on your skinny jeans.
Love the little sampler and I also have a number of unfinnished embroidery.
Wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a blessed and healthy New Year.
Greetings Truus from Holland
I would love to find a pair of "skinny" jeans that fit my waist and "tookus" with a 28 inch length.........at 74 I've shrunk, a bit, in height but not anywhere else.
I pray that Carole will improve much more and be able to enjoy all the festivities of the Christmas season.
Mark is a gem for sure. Bless his heart.
I would love to be lucky enough to own your pony box. I love all of the others of yours that I have.
Enjoy this coming week, relax, restore your energy, and rejoice the reason for the season.

Thank you for sharing the jeans information! I read your blog constantly for cross stitch and decorating inspiration, but I really appreciate your including this.
Merry Christmas! I hope you have a great celebration. Looking forward to many fun posts and more inspiration in the new year.
Hey Girl!
So glad to hear that you have found some comfortable jeans. My last few pairs have been from Walmart too since I have been traveling and have run out of clothes...
I hope that this last week before the holiday is a good one for you!
Finding jeans that fit is a very difficult task. I'm extremely short and round.. so that is no picnic to fit either. I found some capri jeans this summer that actually work, so happy. Needless to say, capri length on normal people is the right length for me. I mentioned I was short... :-) Hope you have a lovely Christmas.
Yes M'am you rock those skinny jeans!!! I'm 60 & just bought my first pair & yes I did wear them after fretting in front of the mirror for an hour. Lol Nobody fainted or called the police so I considered it a success. But I washed the, so I'm not sure about putting the, back on!!
Merry Chrisymas!!!
ugh, jeans...I HATE trying them on and almost give up on being stylish....I will check out those jeans, because Lee are all I wear....also, I too love your frankness....Merry Christmas !!!!!!!!!!!
Marly, if its not too late, I would love to have a chance to win your beautiful box. in regards to your Merry Christmas banner in the header; i stitiched the entire design back in 1998, including the five Father CHristmas figures. it is one of my most favorite stitches ever. But i no longer own the pattern and also had no idea who the designer was. Happy to see responses in the previous post with the information!
I'm having a hard time finding jeans that don't look as if they have been pre-owned. I'll never understand that trend. From the description of your outfit, it sounds to me like you will look great. :) I think about your sister often and am glad she is doing better. Merry Christmas, Marly.
It IS difficult to find jeans that aren't going to cut off our circulation! Thanks for the tip! Glad to hear Carole is better, and will keep her in prayer for a complete recovery. I am done stitching for presents, so now I can focus on stuff for my collections and house... what fun! That is a cute little sampler... go ahead and have fun with it! Hugs!
Marly: I am so happy Carol is getting better, I hope she continues to feel better soon.
I love the idea of the jeans and boots, I am 65, I am 50 pounds overweight and wear leggings and long tunics yes even out to eat and shop, yup I want to stay young for a long time and I think clothing helps me feel better, I hope you post a picture of your boots and jeans together I would love to see them.
I look forward to seeing your stitching you are working on.
Merry Christmas
Catherine
