Hi folks. Random's number belonged to rosek1870 and I'll be contacting her shortly. Thanks to all that entered.
No new project chosen, not sure if I will. I think I'm done, but I will look through the stash and see if there is something that excites me enough to search for linen and thread.
Tomorrow morning I will open the Sampler Box page to sell Hannah. She printed really nice as did the small sampler I chose for May. June will be odds and ends and that may be it for boxes too. Just in a slump about everything right now which could change on a dime. Damn flashes are back again and they are vengeful. I've been trying to watch what I eat and have reduced chocolate drastically. Crabby as hell. Tried to jump out of the car today and once again forgot to release the seat belt, Bud gave me really nasty scratches on my wrist, another store's cement post incident (this one was covered with mirrors and I thought I ran into someone so apologized to myself in public after walking into it), fell going UP the stairs, treadmill stopped suddenly and snapped my neck, I am back to running chores for my sister, and I need a haircut. And it snowed. And that doesn't amount to a gnat's ass because people are suffering heartache and illness. So shut my piehole with a PIECE OF FRICKING CHOCOLATE!!
Here's the box, just a few, offered tomorrow.
Again, thanks for participating and visiting.

Those hot flashes are hell! Each time mine begin to subside ~ they come back with a vengeance and right now they are horrible. I'd say 14 years of them is more than enough :( Proof to me that God is a man...lol!
I hope you are feeling better soon. No fun being in a slump.

Oh Marly....how I love reading your posts....I'm done with hot flashes for the most part...but they are HELL!! No one can understand unless they've experienced them...one of life's cruel jokes! Get yourself some chocolate...you deserve it...I don't think they have a thing to do with hot flashes, running into mirrors, or getting a haircut..go buy a big bag of Hershey Kisses, or Dove nuggets....ENJOY!

Enjoy the Dove or other chocolat and find a new chart to make.

If only the chocolate was a cure-all ! If only I knew then, what I know now about getting older.
Have five weeks to go.....then cataract surgery. NOT looking forward to it at all.
I hope, when the weather improves, that we'll all feel better.
Thinking of you.

My hot flashes are killing me and make me quite crabby but if I delete chocolate from my life, I'd be even worse. Sure, hot flashes and all else going wrong aren't problems compared to many in the world but they still impact our lives. Eat chocolate. Life's too short not to.
My husband of 26 years passed on January 2nd. He was diagnosed with ALS and his was very fast progressing. I felt it was my privilege to be his caregiver and tried never to complain...except for the hot flashes I endured!! Take that back. They were not flashes since they never stopped! I could practically wring our my t-shirt after lifting him onto the toilet. I lost my health care coverage when I had to quit working to care for him full time and our pathetic government has it set up that I did not qualify for Medicaid and with no income, did not qualify for Obama Care ("Affordable" Health Care). Out of pure desperation, I applied to Pfizer's Prescription Assistance program and qualified to receive an estrogen therapy, Prempro. I know hormonal therapy is not for everyone but this outpouring of sweat bordered on a disability, not to mention the embarrassment. I am only sharing my experience as I feel a kinship to Marley and her followers and it helps me to hear what others go through on their life's journey.

Sounds like a rough start to April, Marly--I say bring back more of the chocolate, too! Don't know what I'd do without a little (um, well, most days it is MORE than a little) each day. This cold, yukky, snowy weather is not helping at all, I totally agree. Love the finished box and a big congratulations to your lucky winner.
I hope things smooth out and quiet down for you... Have a glass of wine before bed or a box of chocolate..
Feeling for you! Where I am, the temperature is cold and dreary today. Take a day or two or more of rest! We all need it.
I hate to tell you this but my hot flashes are still with me, about 24 years after they started. When I tell my Dr. she just shakes her head. They are a bit less but have never gone completely away. I hope things are better for you soon.
Oh Marly thank you so much! Also I'm right there with you on the hot flashes! Mine have returned with a vengeance!
I find that my hot flashes are worse this time of year for some reason. Someone suggested to me to drink unsweetened lemon water to help with stress levels. I've only been drinking it for a little over a week so I can't say if it's helping with the stress. I do hope things settle down for you and I hope you don't give up on stitching.
I know we all have reason to complain in life but after reading Amy's letter, I have nothing to grouse about and I agree with her and you, Marly, about hot flashes. It was not fun to stand in front of a class of teenage boys and feel like I was going to ignite any second! Too much chocolate drove my blood pressure to 165 so needless to say I am experiencing a chocolate drought for the forseeable future...
I hope things begin looking up soon! Have some chocolate, life is too short not to have some indulges.
Congratulations to the lucky winner...
Guess I was lucky too. Never had to deal with those 'hot flashes'. Neither did my mom so it must have been inherited.
