Geez. I thought I could email the blue fox winner but nope. No-reply. She's not visited to see who won and I sure hope everything is OK. I gave the first winner three days to claim, and this is longer so if I don't hear from her this evening, I will enter all the names once again and Random will choose another winner at 9pm tonight.
Haven't been getting much done because my sister's air conditioner has been failing, taking her to the dentist, and now repairing an old, solid picnic table that she didn't take care of.

We rented The Revenant over the weekend and I have a question for you. When did the F word become commonplace? Back in 1823? It must have been in writings found from those time periods. Every time I see a depiction of early times and it is used over and over, I always wonder. What a silly thing to think of.
Have a good evening. I may be back after 9!

Oh my gosh! I still have a chance to win!! I'm sooooooo excited!

Well, that's a loss to the winner and a second chance for the rest of us! My DH watched that movie on the way to Atlanta from Seattle. He thought it was very dark.
Last first, that word seems to be the last word in every communication recently. It is part of the dumbing of our culture. Stupid and inarticulate people use it because they can't think of anything else. It has now infected even people who know better. Yeesh!
I love the fox. He need to go to his forever home. Hopefully it will all work out this evening, good luck.
Hope you get a winner. Love that Fox.
The fox is lovely - I'm still trying to put my knitting down and start stitching - you're so inspiring! The mailman delivered that movie and we sent it back without opening it - way too dark for summer. Maybe just too dark, period. We're starting on "Grace and Frankie". I love those two so we'll see...
maybe the third time will be a charm. I sure do like that FOX!
That movie has been banned at our house precisely because it's so dark and I think unappealing. I taught high school for 30 years so the F-word is both a verb and noun. I used to tell my students that cussing took very little brain power and a well developed vocabulary was the sign of intelligence.
Not only because she has a great name...but I so agree with Mary. I once knew an English professor who said he could insult you with a few choice words and you would not realize it until after you had left the room. Yesterday I had to listen to a neighbor who was outside on the phone swear such foul language and there sat a 10 year old and a toddler! I do not swear, actually ( hell, damn and shizen) are my curse words. If said together I am really mad, hahaha
I have a hard time finding movies to watch that are 'clean' but for adults. That usually means black and white ones! Which is fine! Hugs!
I'm sorry I didn't enter. I love that Blue Fox. But, internet providers being what they are, my internet was down for over a week and I didn't have the chance to enter. And if I had been able to enter, I wouldn't have been able to reply.
I am excited to have a chance again at the fox! As for the movie -- I will not rent it now that I know it has lots of that particular word. I like Mary A.'s answer above. I wish there were more people that taught like that.
Sorry for your winner, but happy for me. I have another chance!! ;)
Not a silly thing to think of! I have often thought if the F-bomb was really used down through history. Seems like I hear/read it everywhere.
I love your work!

I agree with the earlier comments. I have wondered the same as well. When watching Deadwood, which is set in the wild west during the time of Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane, the F word is in just about every sentence. Needless to say, I never finished watching the series.
Love the fox!! So glad that I found out about the movie; I absolutely will not watch something with the "F" word in it. I agree about the fact that it would not have been used in that era; I wish people in this era would wise up and realize that using vulgar language does not take intelligence, only stupidity!! I see so much of it on FB that I have not been reading comments much - people are so vulgar anymore.
