The worst is over

Greetings folks.  Is everyone freezing?  Bone chilling winds and snow?  Yikes.  Our snow was so fine it looked like fog, Carole didn't make her appt. again.  Chris was out of town for a few days and came home late today, scraped the drive, and it will be 50 Saturday so we should be OK for a few days.  Can't wait till Saturday!

I worked on the Santa of Change, my latest one.  And since the hood, shoulders, width, forehead, and height changes weren't charted, it was a little difficult to say the least.
Outlining was easier to change and I did, many times, but it worked out well.  Now the fill is all that's left, sew his coat buttons on, and finish!  I think he looks a little odd, either the coat or legs need lengthened, but I may not mess with it.  The photo I manipulated looks good so maybe once the fill is completed it will all fall into place.

I saw a chart that was really cute and thought the name was All Through the Night.  http://www.allthroughthenight.net/shop/Patterns/Cross-Stitch-.htm
Well that's the name of the company!  So when searching for that title, ended up seeing all their designs.  This is Harry ..... and Smitten.

I will be ordering a few of her designs from her site.  She has other needleworks too including really nice quilts and wool applique designs.

Thanks for visiting.

My yes it was a bit chilly and windy I had to put rockers on their side so they didn't blow around. They are heavy too,but one year one up and spend around and hit the porch posts right before my eyes!! Exciting! I just ordered Harry, Henry and Jack patterns for All through the Night. They look like fun for a quick winter stitching. Poor Carole I hope she gets to her appointments soon.

Your recreated Santa will be great. I love him, and the snowman and tree in his pockets. I share your winter weather misery. We're to be under a 36 hour advisory with ice, sleet, snow and frigid temperatures. Yuck!

Hello Stranger....see, you never can tell when I might pop in.... The plan was to start Christmas shopping today (yes, you read that correctly..."start"....) But, we are expecting 6-10" of snow and then blizzard gusting later...so, change of plans. Can't wrap because no gifts to wrap...can't bake because I don't have the ingredients for what I want to bake (am I the only one who runs out of cream of tartar??)...and I'm not in the mood for trees, so here I am LOL. Your Santa is charming...but I'll bite...why is he called the "Santa of Change"?? Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

My stitching buddy and I bought a few of those Little by Little Designs... We will start a SAL after the New Year no doubt! I find them all adorable! But Smitten must be the newest! Yes! Sorry Carole did not get to the doctor...but glad her son got home safe and sound! Sounds like you are having to hunker down for a bit... Sometimes that is good! Stitching is perfect for that! Hugs!

We are freezing too. It hasn't been this cold in 8 years. I'm not so sure about global warming. I could use a little bit of it here today! Your Santa is going to be great!

The Santa looks great - his face and beard seem just right and the snowman in his pocket is just adorable. Hopefully he'll convince you he's just right as you fill in his coat.

Cold cold cold - yes it is! But I'd gladly put off Saturday's warm temp to Sunday as we have a four hour round trip then to pick daughter up from airport in Pittsburgh.

Marly, I need your email address. Mine is kbutorac@msn.com. We are in a white out and expecting up to 10 inches. I have not had computer service most of the day. I hate winter! I'm getting too old for this shit and my Cuddle Duds don't exactly look flattering either. Expecting 37 below zero tomorrow night and that's before the wind chill factor. You all be safe as I know you are not use to storms like we are. I shall stay in my PJ's and stitch the day away with music so I don't hear the wind. Hugs! Krissy B.

Very cute designs! We are a mess here with the weather. Freezing rain to rain on top of a good amount of snow? Ick! 50s tomorrow. Crazy!

Your Santa is looking great and I love those All Through the Night charts. I own both of them and she is the designer of my final snowman finish of 2016, too... lots of cute things!
