Stupid little things

should not bother me.  Or you!  But sometimes they do anyway and I guess it's just human nature.  One of those things is .... electrical plugs.  Every time I try to plug into an outlet, it won't go.  That wider prong is always on the wrong side.  So I have to flip it over in order to plug it in and that just pops my weasel.  Well no more.  I got a white paint pen for the black and brown plugs and a black marker for the white, and now I can readily see which side should be up.  On my mark, get set, plug!

I chose 422 for the lion instead of the 951, and may use it in a small area at the bottom.  This looks so much better in person.  I wonder if my $5 Tracfone would take a better photo.

Oh look.  White crap.
Might as well snooze.

Wonderful idea for plugs ! I mark my luminara candles so I know which side is the timer side. Love them.
My kitties are doing a lot of sleeping too. This cold weather makes me want to not get out of bed in the morning. Kitties have to eat, so it's 5:00 a.m. for me. Early to bed and early to rise.....
Have a cozy day.

Roseanna is looking good! I love eyelet stitches but mine never look as good as yours. I also like the color you chose for the lion. This stitch is a beauty so I need to call Em Li's today to see if they have the chart in stock! Stay warm and dry! Hugs from Kentucky - kelley

Hi Marly,
Loved your post today!!! What a clever idea about those annoying plugs!!! I tried to plug one in the other day in a very difficult spot and it was upside down, OF COURSE!!! Must remember to mark mine!! Thanks for the great tip!!!
Your sampler is so lovely and I'm sure you are enjoying it!!
Love the pictures of the kitties! Staying inside where it is warm sounds like a GREAT IDEA!!!
Hope you are doing the same!!
Enjoy your week and stay warm!

I guess you showed that plug! No more wasting your time, Marly :) I do know what you mean--why do we always choose the wrong side first?!

Your sampler is looking great--I wouldn't have gone with the pink lion either!

We lived in Germany when I was young. I had brushed my teeth so my flannel pajama sleeve was very wet and it got caught between the plug and the wall resulting in a big shock. To this day I hate plugging things in! Great idea though- I also always have them the wrong way!

OMG! I thought I was the only one that got irritated by that plug thing. I'm totally stealing this idea. Brilliant, I tell ya just brilliant!

So happy to be back on line to read about your adventures and seriously I thought I was the only person in the world that hated those damn plugs not being uniform. Great solution that I must start using before I forget it. After a year of having multiple residences I finally marked the charging cords with H for home, A for apartment and T for traveling so I could quit carrying them around wondering if I needed to pack them to take them back to wherever. Now I just have the one house but multiple chargers so it was a win for this menopausal forgetful brain.

If there is a wrong way and a correct way, I will choose the wrong way...and it pops my weasel too! (Ha! So stealing that wonderful expression...and the marking idea!!) Love the photo of kitty in front of the paned window....Guess I answered my question in my last message to you...You got snow. ;o) Loving Roseanna too! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Great idea to mark the plugs! Hmmm.... suppose I should mark one side of the power strips too, so the dots would match up when aligned the right way.

Second lion looks very good in the color you picked.

I feel the same way about those silly plugs!!! I even had to have an outlet changed out recently because it got so loose!!! I've never seen one get loose, but the plugs were falling out!!!
Your stitching colors are beautiful! Love it!
Sweet kitties don't like snow! Just another excuse to sleep all day long!!! haha

Pops my weasel? This has my Mark laughing. He yelled to me,you better read Marly. Something just popped her weasel and then he laughed & laughed. I like the color of the lion. It doesn't scream like the other color.Do you want to come and color plan my house? Thanks for sharing.
