Not only is my long slump still an issue, now my crooked finger won't bend. Not one bit. I never had much pain before, but now that the tooth is under control until extraction, my joint decided I am not deserving of a break from pain. The back was horrible, then the tooth, now the finger, with a side of knee and ankle. All of a sudden! Now what? Certainly can't stitch without using my right index finger.

I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day.
Thanks for the help with the 1820 piece finish. Still undecided but I am leaning towards the red. Four other pieces were sewn, some re-done from their original finish, and little Rebecca is really sweet. I'll show you, as soon as I find her. She is cavorting somewhere with Martha Hards and Anna Eliza Abe. They get a new outfit and all of a sudden it's party time.

Have you thought about seeing a Rheumatologist ? Sounds like trouble my daughter was having.
Sorry about the pain and kitty troubles. Never a dull moment.
Best wishes for a good week ahead. The "heat is on".......90s here in VA.

Mia's the same way about meds in her food -- she knows and won't eat. Sorry about your finger. Neverending for you, it seems. :(
Sorry to hear you're having more pain. I get those finger pains off and on and I hate it! One of our dogs was the same way with meds. It was always such a struggle.
Oh dear ..I hope you don't feel lots of pain
Sending you hugs and prayers and lots of love x
The barometric changes have so much to do with the aches and pains and it a universal lament these days. Hope you are feeling better soon.
Oh that's just not right - you've had enough problems lately! So sorry to hear something else has cropped up, and sad for you that this means you're not able to stitch - not wanting to is one thing, not *able* to is something quite different (as you well know). :(
It is called trigger figure. I shot will fix your right up.
That looks more like arthritis to me. A trigger finger is when the flexor tendon gets stuck at the A1 pulley closer tot he base of the finger. That joint looks hot and inflamed. Until you see a doctor (blood work can be done to see if you have a rheumatoid factor) but at that joint it could be calcium deposit from osteoarthritis. If you can take it, Motrin or Alleve NSAIDS, may help with the pain and inflammation. If not, try heat and ice. And... unfortunately, rest. Hope you feel better!
ouch! that finger and mine looks like they could be related. oh - the woes of getting old, and stitching ~

I feel your pain. I have a trigger thumb that my DR. wants to operate on, not till I can't stand it any more! I think Lori's comment is very appropriate!! Unfortunately! Plus, I think the above Monica is a hand therapist so she should know what to do. Aren't blogs great!
Oh your finger gives you a lot of pain and trouble. As Monica is saying you have to go to see your gp because it is rheumatisme.
I have the same problem with my leg -cannot get my knee traight.
Have a great day without pain
Greetings Truus from Holland.
When I saw your finger I thought it was mine. Same finger too. I can bend mine, I still work 2 1/2 days a week doing transcription work for doctors so I type a lot. I always manage to hit that joint on something, and it hurts. Mine is Osteoarthritis, hope yours is something that can be fixed. Kitties are going through spring fever, and my dog Ginger could find a pill no matter what I did..good luck with the kitties.. Feel better soon
