Thanks!

Your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated.  The problem is not stemming from her heart.  Whew.  We had to argue with the doctors that her slightly elevated enzymes, were not reason for catheterization.  They even mentioned open heart surgery!  I checked several medical sites and there are a number of benign issues that can cause this, it can be temporary, and many times a reason is not found.  She agreed to a stress test and echo first, both showed no change from priors.  If they had their way, a heart cath would have been done first, and totally unnecessary.  She will be having the endoscopy soon.

Nitzy, stump sitting.  The overturned copper kettle is a safe house for chased chipmunks.  I have several around the yard, the least I can do after homing feral killers.  The toads have their pot houses but rarely have the sense to hide in them.

The logs and limbs in Carole's yard are because the loggers do not clean up, they are not a tree service.  They want the trunk only and leave the limbs.  Passing by wooded areas reveals a mess just like the one behind her house. Her yard trees were white oak, poker straight, and huge for which the logger will get a very fine price, in exchange for cutting.   I begged her to hire someone for cleanup but she thinks her grandson will cut and take it all for his woodburner.  No he won't.  Monthly income is not even enough to pay bills let alone removal expense but we offered to chip in.  If the mess is still there in four weeks, I am calling a few people myself and she can get mad if she wants. Years ago, a logger stopped at her house and gave her a price for some of her trees (cherry and hickory) and she was thrilled.  He cut, stacked, and sneaked back at 3:00 in the morning with the rig and took them all.  She couldn't hear them at the bottom of the hill but the neighbor did, knew she was selling the trees so didn't question it.  She received nothing and no one could locate him behind several fake businesses, including BBB and the police.  The 13 cherry and 8 hickory trees were worth a great deal of money.

Garden was drowned again and now the tomatoes have a blight from the damp and humid days (weeks!).  But the Roma beans we were given, an Italian green bean that is wide and flat, popped and are growing nicely.
I can't believe July is half over.  Where is summer going??

Glad to hear it isn't her heart and thank goodness you did your research to avoid her having to undergo any unnecessary procedures. Will continue to keep good thoughts.

A few years back, a cardiologist talked me into a cath that I now am pretty sure I didn't need. He said that there was no other method that would tell me with 100% accuaracy if I had had a heart attack or not and that if I were his sister, he would recommend having it. So I did. No heart damage since no heart attack had occurred. At my age at the time, no high blood pressure history, no evidence in the EKG, he should not have recommended such an invasive procedure but Hey, he had to pay for that fancy black Carrera and the nurse he was cheating on his wife with somehow! Ended up being esophogial spasms which mimic a heart attack. Glad to hear you were there to keep Carol from having an unneccessary cath.

I'm glad you stopped all of the unnecessary tests for Carole and God forbid open heart surgery ! I hope she'll be okay very soon.
I had to pay $1530.00 to cut two dead trees. They didn't cut the stump at the ground level.........left it at the top of the chain link fence level. Am going to get someone else to finish cutting them if they are reasonable.
You're so thoughtful to fix a hiding place for the chipmunks. Nitzy looks handsome.
I went to one of my sheds the other day to put something away....out came a black, orange and white cat like a streak of lightening. Startled me for a minute.....the same thing happened to my daughter in another shed. Neighborhood cats here after my birds. UGH !
Have a good weekend.

Carole is always in my prayers...so glad to hear good news..it is so important to have an advocate when dealing with the medical system...I'm in it and often wish I could pull patients and family members aside to suggest other options being available...you do an awesome job for your sister...

I am disgusted that someone would steal like that from your sister. As they say Karma has everybody's address. I despise dishonesty, and it's hard to beleieve these people walk among us. Just a reminder to be on guard.

Happy to hear it's not her heart and she avoided unnecessary surgery. The tree guys are expensive but in our area a necessary expense. We have learned to go in half with the neighbors when the dead tree could affect either home depending on which way it falls but it still hurts the pocketbook. And our tree monkeys (as they told us to call them) did a great job cleaning up after themselves but we paid dearly for it I'm sure.
