EDIT - I received an email from someone saying they got an email from me telling them they won Chums.  They are no-reply so I could not have sent it, there is no record in my sent file, and I am concerned about a hacking.  If any of you have received an email from me recently or a notification of winning Chums, please let me know by clicking the postcard on the top right.

Dear Mindy,

Your comment matched the number drawn by Random for the tiny Chums.  Please email me with your address.  Since this was not a voluntary entry for a giveaway, if you would prefer not to receive it, don't like primitives, or the smell of lavender, I will not be offended!

Am I the only one that goes into a new Dollar Tree and leaves with tons of things she doesn't need, just because "it's only $1"?  I don't visit those stores often but wanted to grab Christmas wallet cards and a few sympathy cards to have on hand.  But I made the mistake of walking a few aisles and found plastic bins and baskets and notepads and pens and trail mix and figs and hotpads and spatulas and Pirouline sticks and foil containers and peanut butter filled pretzels and  .... well, you get the idea.

Thanks again for your encouraging words, good wishes, and prayers.
Nitzy is doing better even though there are more bright pink amoxicillin drops on my walls than down his throat.

Hahaha! The Dollar Tree!!! I have so much junk in my house, courtesy of that store! I always go in for a couple of things and come out with $20-$30 worth of stuff--it's hard to resist those bargains!! I don't go very often for that reason!
Glad the cat is some better--it certainly is hard to give medicine to a cat! Mine has been on a pill for a week or so. I used to gather him up and drive him to the vet, wait for a time, and then let them give the pill. It was taking an hour each time! I told him the other day that we would have to do it at home. It certainly isn't easy, but we're getting better! ha
Thoughts and prayers for you still.... :)

This year I have been shopping with blinders on...I can get in and out with no temptations for the most part...unless their is caramel involved...the memories of Chester and the pink medicine everywhere...he would appear to swallow it then open his mouth and drool all over...big hugs to Nitzy to feel better! bigger hugs to you to be strong...

Hehehe...if ONLY we had a dollar tree.... here whatever you get in those kind of shops is muuuuuch more expensive, I mean cheap Pirouline can be around...7$... ouch.... but we have a shop that is a little bit less expensive than the others, and when I go there, living on very low budget, I have to ask my boy friend to just keep me from running through some aisles, even if he has to knock me down because I know the temptation is too hard to win the fight with my budget & will hehehe

Congratulations to Mindy,,, and Marly: no, you are totally NOT the only one who succumbs to dollar store temptations! seems everything just looks so much better in those stores :-)

Marly: You always bring a smile to my face with your posts, yes I have gone into the Dollar General for one or two things, I end up getting three bags full and then some, its hard to resist a good bargain.
I have not gotten an email like that but will keep my eyes open.

Blessings
Catherine

Ha! This is too funny. I'm trying to email you and I can't seem to do it and it's because I am a doofus (my computer wants me to set up some sort of new email account and I am at the bottom of the class in techie stuff). So I'm writing here to give you my email address. And yes, I love primitive things, I would be honored to have another Marly original (I ordered some of the Shaker boxes a few years back) and I absolutely adore lavender. Mindy

About Mitzy and the liquid medication - I have a method that works for me; maybe you already do it this way. I kneel down, have my kitty in the area between my legs, hold her jaw and use my lower legs and butt to keep her from backing away. Then I put the squirter more in the cheek area, under the upper lip, and work it in between her jaws - a couple of extractions helps I'm sure.

Kitties are notoriously hard to medicate, virtually impossible with pills. Most recently my vet has referred me to a compounding pharmacy which makes a transdermal formulation for some medications that goes on the inner ear tips. Karma still doesn't like it, but she does tolerate it.

Good luck. Your kitties are very lucky to have such a dedicated someone to take care of them.

Appears I haven't been around. Good luck on your pet scan! I hope the cats are feeling better. How is the new car?
