The ins and outs of linen. Not always. But certainly this time. When unpacking my Christmas stitches I remembered that a Teresa Kogut piece was done on Confederate Gray (my first time with that color). I hated it. Too pink when mixed in with other finishes .... until .... I turned it to the other side. Loved it. So I unfolded my new linen and peeked inside and there it was. The less pink softer color that is agreeable to me, no need to return it. I never thought to unfold the fabric and look inside and am surprised at the difference.
Received my Early Homes magazine. It's not as many pages as the other primitive publications, but I love it as well. Lots of sources for colonial and early style, not as extreme and "grungy". Twice a year is not enough for me, wish it was quarterly, but it is more of a special publication from Old House Interiors and I have every issue from the beginning. If you can't find it, you can order from their website, https://www.aimmedia.com/early-homes/. I have auto ship so I don't miss an issue.
It's December and we have two more days of decent temps, trying to get the leaves done. Mark has an issue with his foot and needs a cane to (painfully) walk so I will be on my own which is fine with me, but not good for the shoulder. Leaving shortly for my sister's because those two PITAs can't figure out how to use that Lightkeeper tool to fix the Christmas lights. Again. I told her she better get her butt out of the house and into a store, not just restaurants. I can't remember the last time she got her own groceries and necessities. Then we're off to the doc for injections in his foot.
Hope your day is a good one.
Thanks for visiting.

I look forward the Early Homes Magazine, I have them all. I get mine through Circa Home living, check our their web site. I also get American Country Magazine too, it's new, I got it through Circa site too. Circa Living has some nice things , I usually treat myself to something.
Hi Marly,
Love the color of the linen and what a nice surprise for you!! So sorry about Mark's foot and your shoulder!! Hope you both get some relief soon!! Have they checked to see if you have Frozen Shoulder? I am finally getting over mine that I have had for the past year and it was truly agony! So happy it is finally almost healed!! My whole arm hurt with it!!
I need to look up both of those magazines as I had completely forgotten about them!! Thanks for the reminder from both you and Mary!!
Take care this week, Marly!

Your Santa looks perfect! Sorry you and the Mr. are not feeling well. Hope you can take it easy and "sit" soon...and just stitch. My Early Homes arrived today and I when my tea cools I will be giving it a good long look. American Country is running late because of family difficulties but is on it's way...I love that mag! It has become my new favorite because it features a good deal of colonial homes. I also prefer a more traditional look.
Take good care,
Robyn
I really want that magazine, thanks so much for the heads up!! Had to laugh at your comment about your sister. I have one too!
Isn't it strange when linen has such different colors, one side compared to the other? I have a piece that came with a kit that I didn't like at all - it's a strange green - but the other side is nice!
Hope you are able to get the leaves done (our forecast is rain tomorrow, then snow on each day for the following week!) and that the shots help Mark's foot pain.
Isn't it great when you discover something that has always been right there all along?
Sending healing prayers for your husband's foot!!!
Karen
Sorry about Mark's foot and your shoulder. I hope you both heal quickly.
My neck feels like it has electric wires going through it....doesn't stop me though.
I want to get a copy of the magazine you shared. Love that kind...........American Country too.
Not looking forward to the cold weather that is on it's way.
Take care.
