Seeing red

Ellen's red has me wanting more.  Being bland dull and faded is reflected in most of the samplers I stitch.  I do have a few with bright colors and was surprised to find that I enjoyed stitching and seeing them displayed.  But there was an older project that featured red and continued to elude my sharp keen memory.  Found it.
Carriage House Samplings' Pennsylvania Redware.
Ooooooh baby.
It was taken off the wall to paint a LONG time ago, the painting isn't done, but this is going back on the wall.

Blast from the past!
Hope your week is going well.

Pretty! As for your other posts -- thanks for the definition of TRE. And I see what you mean about red bag versus green bag. Have you decided yet? I like the red bag better too, but I agree the red pops more with the green. Aren't I a help? :D

Especially during the winter blahs. What is the red you used in your last sampler? I want to buy some. I'm off to work. I'd rather stay home and stitch.

ok, a big HELLO to you. i 'discovered' your blog when looking at prairie schooler santas on pinterest. i have read every one of your posts. some more than once. i really don't understand how you get some many pieces stitched. you are amazing. and your work is amazing. i love the simplicity of the prairie schooler designs and have a collection of their books. am trying to fill out ones that i don't have but it is getting harder and harder to find some of the early ones. i don't have all that many done, until now i have only done them at Christmas (duh) but am finishing one up today and am trying to decide which to do next. just wanted to say hi and tell you that you have a new follower. snowing here in Minnesota. andrea
btw to you or anybody reading..i have 2 books that i accidently doubled up on..book 48 'a Christmas visit' and book 62 kris kringle. mint..will mail to anyone who wants them (please for yourself, not to turn around and sell) a gift to start the year out
