Beans of a different color

HELP!
Because of the towel holder,
and the closet door handles in other rooms (which is the same handle as the dishwasher),
and having black hinges on the cabinets, I thought the panel's handle should be black.  Mark always thought the knobs should be but I vetoed that from the start.  I have an extra handle (Gemini people always buy in two's) and painted it the color of the cabinets which Mark prefers over this....
It does blend in but now I can't decide if the black or painted would be better.  Would you mind offering your opinion to a fickle pickle?
Same color as the cabinets or leave it black?

We got my sister's dilemma resolved, she misunderstood and will be responsible for paying back a few months of help, not all those years.  She gets confused when she is upset.  I get confused all the time.

We had another warm day but it's ending and the chill is coming back.  Can you believe next week is March already?  I really hate to change February's fabulous desktop calendar but I'll get over it.

Enjoy what's left!

Marly, I would leave it, you have black accents in the kitchen, makes the kitchen more primitive. You can bet they didn't have matchey-matchey in the old days!

I like the way the black looks (but you may want to take that with a spoonful of salt - my kitchen cabinets are [off] white with black knobs, which looks just perfect to me).

This temperature change is nuts - was 69 when I got up today, now it's 35! Brrrr...

I like the black handles. So glad it all got ironed out concerning your sister. Marly, you are good to her.

The black handles are more distinctive and points up their profile.
So glad Carole's dilemma was resolved somewhat, but still a pity to
be so compromised...You are such a good Sister, Marly.

I like the black also...but you have to live with it and hopefully like it!

I agree with Mark. All the knobs would be black if I were deciding.

I like the painted knobs. However I’d worry that the paint would chip off. I’ve never been a fan of black hardware.....sorry!

I'd go for black, but I know I have some weird taste so... You can't really count my opinion as "reliable"

I like the black too, it matches the other dark accents you have around the sink etc. I would change the other door knobs to black too if it were me.

Just my opinion, but I like the knobs/handles the same color as the paint. Everything looks beautiful.
Am glad Carole doesn't have to pay so many back charges.
Have a cozy weekend......rain is on the way. UGH ! I was enjoying the 70+ degree weather we were having.

I love the black handles.....I have black iron on my kitchen cabinets which are stained (I love your painted ones). I am a home body and love to be nestled in my place and get used to a certain look and feel....I hope you choose whichever makes you feel good and warm and cozy. Good Luck

I'm going to be helpful -- I don't know which I like better. lol! Very helpful, yes? That's a relief on your sister and the back pay. But still -- annoying to have to deal with when it's the post office's fault for not getting her renewal in on time.

I kind of like the black. Besides, with a handle like that, in my house it would end up being used as a towel holder and not seen much anyway.

Glad things are straightened out with your sister, but even so, I imagine paying back a few months of assistance is going to be tough? Absolutely report that carrier, take photos of what she does, and every time you report, add another chain of command level. I understand a carrier having a bad day or two, but what you describe is beyond that. It's also possible some of her actions could face criminal charges as well, if non-delivery or destruction of mail is involved.

I vote for the black. It really draws out your soapstone counters, which are gorgeous. Sorry Mark.

I think the black would be more historically accurate but I like the painted better. They become a focal point if they are black. Do you want them to be a focal point? I think that should make the decision. Be careful asking for my opinion. I always have one.

I go along with those in favor of black!

Whatever you choose will be wonderful.
Good news about your sister! I hope it won't add to your burden of help.

My preferance is for the black, but thats me. Either would work and you guys are the ones who have to look at them every day. try one or the other for awhile and then change it out and try the other one for awhile (good thing you have 2!). see which one 'feels' better!

My two cents worth, I would say if the wooden knob on other side of sink ( looks like a drawer) were changed to a black handle OK. But looking at it now it looks unbalanced. Maybe that is only with one cent but there it is.

I like the black best.

Black, absolutely.

Well, I've thought and thought and I'm with Mark...paint the handle to match the cabinet...I think that as a black handle, it draws too much attention. Have enjoyed watching your kitchen remodel...you have great ideas. That's my two-cents worth. Have a happy day!

I actually like the painted handle to match the cabinet. I think the black stands out to much & takes the attention away from you beautiful cabinets. I love your kitchen by the way.

The picture of the cabinets with the handles painted to match the cabinet is more pleasing to the eye....... In my humble opinion.

Hi Marly: I am one that likes accents and the black handles are lovely to my eyes.
I hope Carole is doing better, its always hard to say no to helping family.
So sorry Mark but I like the black the best.
