Had to add a row to the chimneys in order for the fricking bird to perch. How can one motif be placed correctly and the next one not?
Very much in the dumps lately, hair loss is continuing to the point that you can actually see the fiber powder on my scalp, that's how thin it is. With the closings, I have no idea when I can get in to have a transplant before I lose it all. No answers. Nothing has helped or stopped it.
Have a comfortable and safe weekend.

Beautiful piece Marly, love the design, the size and those colors! I can relate to the thin hair and visible scalp...even though I don`t consider myself vain it really bothers me. I wonder how poor souls who have cancer undergoing chemo and radiation must feel, I try to be thankful I am not in their shoes. I`ve come to realize it`s my new reality but it`s still hard. You could do what I do...avoid the mirror!
That piece is just superb. Congrats! I am very sorry about your hair. Prayers for some help soon♥️
Your new sampler is beautiful. The repetition of the red is challenging !
I totally understand about thinning hair. Jill cut mine, really short, Pixie style, and it's still coming out. My brush is full of hair and I just cleaned it. My hair is gray/blonde/? My pink scalp shows through.
Can't do anything about it......
I agree with Anonymous and the mirror.
I wish that was the only problem that's going on in our family.
Thinking of you and your family.
Take care, stay well, enjoying more stitching/gardening/kitties/cooking, etc. etc.
Hugs !

Your sampler is beautiful. It reminds me of the work my mother used to do; she loved samplers.
It's terrible that losing your hair is happening to you. I'm sorry.
I love the quirky things in samplers, one of my daughter's favorite is the HUGE bird sitting on a house! Worrying about the hair loss cannot be good for you, I agree avoid the mirror. My husband is always complains he looks old, my answer is why does anyone look in the mirror anyway. From where i sit looking out on the world I am still 20, well maybe hit older but heck! It is my fantasy anyway, Be safe
First, your work is beautiful in spite of your visual problems. I am duly impressed. I understand about the hair loss issues. For some reason, despite no change in my auto-immune treatment, mine has filled in a bit. Not back to normal but better. Now, this was over a 5 to 8 year period of time. It is disheartening. I can only say that as a stitching sister I am with you. Of course, multiple stressors make it worse but fixing that is another issue. Take care, be well. Thank you for sharing.
LOVE your cross stitch finish. What a sweet pattern that you finished so quickly!
So very sorry about the hair loss. Hopefully you can get some treatment soon.

Marly dear and others - For whatever it is worth, years ago my uncle was naturally
losing his hair (not illness or pharmaceuticals) and my Mother who spent time as a
beautician (avoided chemicals) got him a few tubes of Bone Marrow ointment... heated
and applied to scalp overnight prior to shampooing. In a relatively short time, his
hair began to reappear and "fill in" I used to get the marrow oil (LaMaur) at Sally's, but they stopped carrying it... If you can locate marrow oil shampoo or
ointment, I recommend it. Also, winter heating does dry out the hair and make it
brittle.... Continued prayers for you, Marly dear.
Awwww....so very sorry to hear of your continuing hair loss/thinning. It seems like hair is such a focal point. Unfortunately, it can be a bit of a vicious cycle...stress certainly is a contributing factor, yet seeing one's hair thin before one's eyes without any control over it just adds another huge stressor. I do hope and pray you will be able to pursue the transplant option....but, yikes....it sound incredibly costly. My top frustrations of this lock-down seem to change daily. Right now, at the top of the list is the inability to get a pedicure. YIKES.... Little thing in the much-larger scheme of things, but I think this whole state of affairs is messing with everyone's priorities... ~Robin~
